Established in 1910, Buckingham Rowing Club has always been one of the premier rowing clubs of Tasmania with an enviable tradition of success nationally and internationally in events from junior rowing through to the masters events.

With crew of all ages from all across the state it was a fantastic event to come together for a bit of friendly competition.

Buckingham Rowing Club has been approved as a 'charity partner' in the Recycle Rewards Program. The club has decided to participate in this fundraising initiative to raise funds to purchase a new set of Concept 2 sweep oars.

🪙 How to get involved:
If you have recycling items with a 10c deposit, they can be dropped off at either:
- Buckingham Rowing Club, we have tubs labelled for this purpose OR
- a Recycling Rewards Depot, and if you nominate Buckingham Rowing Club as your chosen charity the proceeds will be donated to us.

To donate, you will need to download the 'Recycle Rewards' ap, which you can allocate your donation to Buckingham Rowing Club 💛💚

Buckingham Rowing Club is seeking coaches for the upcoming 2025/26 season, commencing with winter training in June/July 2025 (flexible).

Buckingham Rowing Club has always been one of the premier rowing clubs of Tasmania with a tradition of success nationally and internationally. As well as catering for the elite athlete, Bucks has always retained a strong link with the wider community. This is evident in our regular Learn To Row programs targeting more senior members of the community promoting healthy outdoor activity. Junior rowing has also played a majorpart in the success of the club.

With an honorarium provided, these positions offer the chance to work with an engaging club community and contribute to the success of our squads. The squad strucutre is flexible and will be determined based upon the experince and preferences of successful applicants.

The successful applicant will be an individual who has knowledge of current rowing training and technique, proven success in training teams, demonstrated leadership abilities and an ability to recruit athletes and coordinate training groups.

Essential Requirements

Level 2 Coaching Accreditation or willingness to obtain (Club will meet the direct costs)
Working with Children/Working with Vulnerable People check
