Vale Christine Bennett OAM

We are deeply saddened by the passing of Christine Bennett, a truly remarkable member of our hockey community and a cherished Life Member of North West Hobart Graduates Hockey Club.

Christine gave so much to our club over many years. Her dedication, knowledge, and passion for hockey helped shape generations of players, and her impact will continue to be felt across our club for years to come.

She will be remembered not only for her incredible contribution to the sport, but for her kindness, generosity, and the genuine care she showed to everyone in our hockey family.

We extend our heartfelt condolences to Kate, Brian, Michael, John and their extended family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing her.

Christine will always be a valued part of NWG 💙💛🩵🏑

The wait is over—our 2026 season kicks off this weekend and we can’t wait to see our NWG family back on the turf!

Get ready for a massive night of fun and fundraising with the NWG crew! We are taking over the private function room at the Black Buffalo Hotel in North Hobart this Saturday, March 21st, starting at 5:30pm.

If you want to get ahead of the game, we’ll be selling tickets throughout the day at the THC, so grab yours early and don't miss out. We have some incredible lucky door prizes and a raffle lined up that you definitely want a piece of.

To make your night even better, make sure you sign up for "Local Legends" and enter NWG in the RTG Group Code. Not only will you score sweet discounts on your meals and drinks all night long, but a portion of the proceeds goes directly back to supporting the club.
