🟢LEADERSHIP ANNOUNCEMENT🟡

THE Club is thrilled to announce our Gretna III leaders for the upcoming season!

GRETNA III
Captain - Marc Smith
Vice-Captain - Beau Pritchard

Nearing the end of the clubs leadership announcements and one could say you leave the best till last, our 2026/27 Gretna III captain is MARC SMITH.
After a stellar career at his former club Bushy Park, Marc came to Gretna in December 2024.
Last season he shared the Vice-Captains roll with Beau Pritchard under inaugural and inspirational captain Ben Shaw. Marc showed great qualities stepping up as captain for a number of matches and in one blistering innings clubbed 74 off just 84 and then took 2-11 with the ball and come seasons end took out the batting average. With his cheeky grin and trade mark bucket hat, the lad who grows hops for a living that keeps us all merry on weekends, is a great choice to lead the team in just its second season of existence.
Congratulations Smithy, we are all behind you and the team and we look forward to seeing you and your lovely family again at the club.

Let’s Go! 💪🏻🏏🟢🟡

Our last announcement is our Gretna III Vice-Captain and that is none other than BEAU PRITCHARD.
Ol Saad first played for the Green & Gold back in October 2006 and after this had a stint with Bushy Park and then went into retirement. Then in 2024/25 made a comeback and since hasn’t looked back. Being VC last season, Beau showed great leadership to the younger brigade making the team a great fit for all. Come season end, the guy who not only plays, but also sponsors the club took home four awards at the annual dinner in the Gretna III bowling aggregate, most catches, best all-rounder and the other big prize of the players award.
Beau is a great selection for this roll again and we love having him and his lovely family at the club.
Congratulations ol kid, we are all behind you and the team!

Let’s Go! 💪🏻🏏🟢🟡

🟢LEADERSHIP ANNOUNCEMENT🟡

THE Club is thrilled to announce our Gretna II leaders for the upcoming season!

GRETNA II
Captain - Adam Browning
Vice-Captain - Kayden Cunningham

Our Gretna II captain for 2026/27 we bring you ADAM BROWNING.

After having last season off to complete the the Tour de Lewisham, the Piez is back and raring to go! Previously captaining Gretna II in 2017/18 in the fifty over roster as well as being a vice-captain and third selector in other seasons and also holding the same rolls in the T20 format, our man Adam has plenty of leadership experience. Add to this 252 club matches, a member of the 2013/14 Gretna II premiership team and entering his ninth straight season as the clubs Equipment & Merchandise Coordinator, we are thrilled to again have Piez as one of our leaders for the coming season!
Congratulations Pieman, we are all behind you and the team and we can’t wait to see yourself and little Leo around the club doing your thing!
Let’s Go! 💪🏻🏏🟢🟡

Our selection for our Gretna II Vice-Captain is again none other than KAYDEN CUNNINGHAM!

After being the VC last season and the team making it to the preliminary final, young Kaydos is back in the leadership group playing for his beloved Green and Gold! The six generation Cunningham at the club, Kayden brings enthusiasm both on and off the field. The clubs Master Blast Coordinator and Stage 2 Coach, this lad is a great selection as a young leader for the next generation players coming through. After starting his cricket career in the clubs U/16’s in 2022/23 and being apart of the teams premiership that same season, Kayden has a bright future ahead of him.
Congratulations Kaydos we are all behind you and the team and we look forward to seeing what the season ahead brings.
Let’s Go! 💪🏻🏏🟢🟡

🟢LEADERSHIP ANNOUNCEMENT 🟡

THE Club is thrilled to announce our Gretna I leaders for the upcoming season!

GRETNA I

Captain - Corey Ransley
Vice-Captain - Jamie Duggan

COREY RANSLEY brings to the team a wealth of experience and is a fabulous choice to captain Gretna I. After debuting in 2006/07, big Rans has now played for 20 seasons for a total of 337 matches. He previously captained the team in 2022/23 making the finals and last season he was vice-captain. The loyal member had also been captain of the T20 team for three seasons. He has won the bowling average and aggregate six times each, best all-rounder four times and is the most capped player of the Gretna I Players Award medal with six winners and two runners up. Rans has played in six grand finals over his time at the club and he would love nothing better to captain his beloved green & gold to a premiership. Let’s go Rooster, we are all behind you and the team!

Let’s Go!
💪🏻🏏🟢🟡

The Gretna I vice-captain will be last seasons captain in JAMIE DUGGAN. Since crossing to the green and gold from Mt Pleasant in season 2018/19, Duggo has racked up 140 club matches and in a personal milestone will bring up his 150th during this coming season. The passionate cricketer has previously been vice captain of Gretna I in the fifty over format across three seasons and of the T20 roster Captain of the team for one season and vice-captain of three seasons. And at the business end of the season has played in four grand finals as runners up and like big Rans, would love to get that elusive silverware to Gretna this coming season.
Duggo has been a very active member both on and off the field since day one and will again make a great team with Corey in the leadership group. Congratulations Dug Duggo Duggan, we are all behind you and the team!

Let’s Go!
