We get asked this all the time — how does the dolphin swim actually work? 🐬

Here’s a full swimthrough of the experience so you know exactly what to expect on the day.

It’s completely wild, ethical, and always up to the dolphins — which is what makes it so special.

What do you think -Would you dive in?

Did you know dolphins play footy too?

We often see them catching and passing seaweed to each other - and if we're lucky, they'll even pass it to us... which is great until we completely fumble it 😆

It's believed this behaviour is common in juveniles and helps build social skills and strengthen bonds between individuals.

Dolphins NRL the rest of your squads out in the ocean… when are you coming out? 😉

Make sure to turn the volume up for this one 🔉

Easily one of the wildest swims we’ve had all season. All footage is raw from our tour last Sunday… the dolphins really said “yeah, today’s the day”🐬

Only a few more weeks left - let’s see what else the oceans got!

You asked for more baby dolphins… so here’s a little collection of our favourite newborn calf moments 🐬✨

DID YOU KNOW?

✨ When calves are first learning to breathe, they will often overcompensate when breaching, resulting in a very cute head slap (seen in the 2nd video).

✨ Dolphins are born with stripes along their bodies known as fetal folds, caused by being curled up inside the womb.

✨ Calves are born with tiny hairs or ‘whiskers’ on their rostrum that fall off soon after birth.

✨ Newborns will stay alongside their mother for 2–3 years.

Enjoy ☺️☺️

Some smiling faces after an incredible couple days of swimming with hundreds of common dolphins!

One of the best parts of our job is watching all the different reactions as our guests come back on board after their swims 🙂‍↕️🤩

Team meeting in progress 👨‍💼🐬

Here’s some snippets from swim leader Shannon’s very important meeting with some representatives from the Common Dolphin Alliance team.

We try our best to conduct monthly meetings with the team regarding dolphin behaviour on our tours however we don’t seem to be making much progress. Maybe one day they’ll learn that some behaviours can wait for after the tour 🤔
