Let's face it, exercise is the easy part.
The hard part is putting your shoes on. It's getting out of bed when it's cold. It's leaving the comfort of the couch. It's finding the motivation after a long day. It's getting to the gym when life is pulling you in a hundred different directions.
As Tim said in a recent radio interview with Rhema FM, "Exercise is the easy part. Turning up, that's the hard part."
And he's right.
The big build-up is usually all in our heads. We tell ourselves we're too tired, too busy, too unfit, or that we'll start next week.
But then something funny happens.
You walk through the door. You say g'day. You see a familiar face. The music starts. The workout begins.
And that's when the magic happens.
It's so easy to beat yourself up for the sessions you miss. To focus on what you didn't do, rather than what you did.
What if we flipped that around?
What if, instead of punishing yourself for not being perfect, you gave yourself credit for showing up?
Because turning up is powerful.
Turning up when you're tired.
Turning up when you're busy.
Turning up when motivation is nowhere to be found.
That's where confidence is built. That's where habits are formed. That's where lives change.
You won't always have your best session, but every time you walk through those doors, you've already achieved something worth celebrating.
Reward yourself for showing up.
The results will follow.
