Rest in peace dear Heather Sullivan. The matriarch of the Magnetic Island Table Tennis 🏓 has left a wonderful legacy from what started as a weekly Thursday social session many years ago at the Arcadia Hotel function centre to a three times a week gathering. Her other talents included line dancing, writing poems and playing cards. You will be dearly missed, and we send our heartfelt condolences to Heather’s husband Pop and to her extended family.

Wow! What a fabulous and fun day the International Women's Day table tennis tournament in Townsville turned out to be! With 9 of our wonderful ladies representing our island social group and we even had 3 trophies come home with us: Therese came 3rd in the main competition, beating the #3 seeded player; Lauren won the social competition and Kati came third! Everyone had a great day with lots of yummy food and laughs. Well done everyone who took part 🏓

Therese recently competed at the Australian National Veterans Table Tennis 🏓 C'ships held in Canberra. She and her partner Gayle D'Arcy won the 065s women's doubles, (unseeded for the tournament) and silver medallists in the 065s women's team competition playing for Qld. The bronze medal was for the 060s women's singles competition. Amazing as always Therese - were very proud of you 🤩
