The 2026 FIM Trial des Nations (TdN) will be held on September 26-27 in Arteixo, Spain. As the worldโs most prestigious observed trials event, it will feature national teams competing at the Arteixo festival grounds. The event will include men's, women's, and International Trophy classes,
In 2026 for the first ever time, Western Australia will be fielding two riders on the Australian TdN team, Neil Price and Ben Walling.
Ben makes his TdN debut after a breakout 2025 season which saw him clinch the top-tier WA state championship title and finish sixth in the Australian championship against some seasoned opposition. In 2024, he also competed in four rounds of the Trial3 class of the FIM Trial World Championship.
Neil Price, 19 times WA State Champion, will be embarking on his seventh TdN campaign in 2026. Neil first competed in the TdN in 2001, and his last appearance for Team Australia was in 2013.
Assisting Ben as his Minder, local WA rider Simon Thomas will also be making the trip to Spain.
While the TdN team riders receive some support from Motorcycling Australia and the broader Australian trials community, the bulk of the expenses incurred to attend the TdN are covered by the riders themselves, so it is quite an expensive outlay for them.
This fund raising campaign has been to establish to help assist the WA based TdN Australian Team members make it to Spain and achieve the highest that they can at the worlds peak moto trials event.
