Busy Bees 🐝 at the club 🐝

Thank you our community for coming together to complete some important jobs to maintain the NYC grounds and clubhouses.

and it’s a nice way to get everyone together to reconnect during the quieter months. Super excited for our summer season Opening Day on Sunday 4 October!

We were happy to host an Australian Sailing Dinghy Instructor course at the NYC Training Centre last weekend for future sailing instructors from the Perth metro.

Eight students completed the course and will return to their home clubs ready to continue safely educating future Australian sailors!

A great day to run our club training course ‘Start Fibreglassing’ at the NYC Sail Training Center.

This members-only course is a practical introduction to help members make repairs to their trailer sailors, racing dinghy’s and Hobie catamarans.
Start Fibreglassing will be followed by Better Fibreglassing, which will develop skills to execute more advanced repairs.

📣 Kids, we invite you to get in to sailing ⛵️ and we have some great news to share!

Nedlands Yacht Club accepts KidsSport vouchers for payment of all training courses for kids in Primary and Secondary School.

KidSport enables eligible Western Australian children aged 5 to 18 years to participate in community sport by offering them financial assistance towards club fees, and in some cases essential uniforms and equipment.

How it works:

1. Apply for your KidsSport Voucher here: https://www.cits.wa.gov.au/funding/sport-and-recreation-funding/kidsport/apply-for-kidsport

There is a perfect amount of breeze today, what a day for sailing in Perth ⛵️☀️
