From behalf of the Natone Football club we send our sincere condolences to Bill's family.
Sadly this week we have to say farewell to one of the Association's most active members of the last twenty years. Bill Lowe passed away on Monday after a long period of illness. While Bill's playing days were mainly on the West Coast at Rosebery and some time spent with the Burnie Dockers Bill's passion was the DFA .Bill was heavily involved with the South Burnie under 17 and reserves teams for many years before a breakfast at a local shop run by the then newly elected DFA president Ray Parry saw him join the committee as a vice president, a position he held for the next 14 years. Bill was a very team-oriented man who always had the betterment of the Darwin clubs and the association in his thoughts, visiting clubs at training and match days giving encouragement to everyone he met. Bill was awarded Darwin Life Membership in 2018 which was well deserved. Bill is already being missed at the football on a Saturday. Our thoughts and condolences are with Sallie, Julian & Simon and extended family at this time. Thank You Bill for your outstanding service R.I.P old friend.
