So, who are we?

We’re Franzi and Elias, and we’re the people behind Franklin River Rafting, a small, family owned business that’s been running trips down the Franklin River for more than 23 years.

Our guides are a huge part of what makes Franklin River Rafting what it is. They’re highly experienced, know the river inside out, and genuinely care about looking after you. They’re also part of the Franklin family, and we think they’re pretty bloody good at what they do.

We care about good gear, high safety standards, seriously good food and creating the kind of trip where you connect, with the river, and the people alongside you.

We love this river. We love the people it brings together. And we feel pretty lucky that sharing it is what we get to do.

Up, up we climb! 🧗‍♀️

This bit of the Franklin River is definitely not for the faint hearted.

Scrambling up near Rock Island Bend, hauling rafts through “Pig’s Trough” and finding a way through the challenging stuff is all part of the adventure.

Luckily, there’s a cruisy way around too 😉

One of my favourite things about guiding on the Franklin River is watching people find their spot.

Some love the white water. Some can’t wait for camp. And then there are places like Irenabyss, where people naturally linger a little longer.

Every Franklin River rafting trip is different, but this place seems to have the same effect on almost everyone.
