It is with a heavy heart that we inform the BDTA tennis community of the passing of BDTA life member Barry Palmer.

Barry passed away peacefully earlier this week after a life of 80+ years.

Barry was the dedicated BDTA Score Secretary for over a decade whereby his attention to detail, communication to clubs and efficient updating of by-laws set a new standard in voluntary sports admin.

Many of the processes we have in place today within the BDTA are thanks to the great work of Barry Palmer.

Barry’s legacy will live on forever within the BDTA through the Barry Palmer trophy that is awarded each season at Presentation Day.

Our Junior Competition season resumes this weekend.
Members are advised that courts will be in use until around 11.30am as follows:
Saturday 31st January - all courts
Sunday 1st February - all courts
Saturday 7th February - 2 courts
Sunday 8th February - all courts
Sunday 15th February - all courts
Saturday 21st February - all courts
Sunday 22nd February - all courts
Sunday 1st March - all courts
Saturday 14th March - 4 courts
Sunday 15th March - all courts
There is no competition on the Labour Day weekend.
