It's an End of Season wrap for the 'Nutz ! .. and ideal winter swimming conditions for a final swim of the year.
Today's stats were - air temp 18° - water temp 17° with the outgoing tide - course, out through the bar. 21 Fathers Day swimmers .
Overall for 2026 the highest water temp reading was 20°. lowest was 14°. Coolest air temp 8°.
Annual Numnutz Presentations saw a well deserved 'Nut of the Year' trophy go to Ben Stainer .. Congrats Ben ! 👍
A shout out to Ned Kelly and his Kelly&Co staff for taking good care of us throughout the season with their hospitality and good will .. The View Narooma

Another one of those crack'n mornings ! .. sensational conditions for our 2nd last swim of the season.
Statistics - air temp 13° - water temp 17° - incoming tide - 13 swimmers - course , in through the bar.
Also coming in the bar this morning was an interesting visitor .. the Rubbish Raft (or the 'Heart'). Built from ocean debris including bouys etc...The 'Nutz of course swam over for a chat and wish them luck. Coming up from Tasmania they've completed the Bass Strait crossing and now making way up the coast to Sydney .. raising awareness of marine pollution.
Next week is the annual Father's Day end of season swim .. Numnutz sons, daughters and family are welcome for the traditional hot cooked breakfast at the pub. Followed by this year's NN presentations .. including the prestigious "Nut of the Year" award 🏆
Thanks today to Rob in the kitchen for the soup, as well as manager Al and of course Kal behind the bar ! The View Narooma .. here's cheers 😉👍

An outstanding weekend of festivities for Twenty Years of the Numnutz !!
A good roll up of friends and visitors to help celebrate .. all in the true Numnutz spirit 🍻
A special shout out to Ken & Sheryl Shepherd who travelled all the way down from the Sunshine Coast Qld to join in the reunion .. cheers to the Sheps !
Also, longtime member/sponsor/supporter Paul O'Brien and fellow Winter Swimming Clubs our mates the Wollongong Whales and the Coledale Oysters 👍Thanks guys for all the commemorative gifts .. including an awesome hand engraved jug by Al Wetten from Coledale ! Cheers Al 🤟

Swim stats .. air temp 15° - water temp also 15° - outgoing tide - course was 'the triangle' (Spur wall across to the South Breakwall rocks, near the seals corner, then over to Crab Rock on the North Breakwall, then back across the bay to the start) with 32 swimmers signing in.
A huge thankyou to Ned Kelly and his pub staff for saturday's excellent dinner .. and a rockin' good night !! And of course Pashy and Rob & the kitchen crew for providing the fancy nibbles at the meet & greet on friday .. and a truly sensational soup after the swim ! The View Narooma .. here's cheers 😎👍

Wet and rainy .. but that never stops the Numnutz !
Today's stats were .. air temp a damp 12° - water temp 14° on the incoming tide - course over to Crab Rock and back.
12 true and hardy 'Nutz signed in for the swim .. then it was a shortened version of the card table, on the tailgate back of the ute.
A welcoming warm fire back at Numnutz HQ as we all gathered at the round table for a tasty hot soup. Some general NN business was discussed, as well as the new 20yr anniversary shirts and also next weekend's dinner at the pub .. Saturday from 5pm.
Thanks to Rob and Pashy in the kitchen and also Annabel and Al at the bar for taking good care of us as always , The View Narooma .. here's cheers 👍

Winter is still here ! Cool and cloudy with another brisk wind .. but that didn't deter the Numnutz this morning !
Today's stats - Air temp 11° - Water temp 14° (equal coldest this season) - Outgoing tide - Course, over to Crab Rock and back.
10 swimmers signed in and it was welcome back to our sponsor and mate Ned Kelly, joining in after last night's pub special opening night and re-naming, now 'The View'.... Congratulations & well done ! A great night had by all.
The usual post swim rum to keep the blood flowing, then up to the pub and a warm fire. Another tasty hot soup in the big pot .. thanks again to Rob in the kitchen.
And of course many thanks to Ned and his Kelly&Co staff for the hospitality and generosity .. here's cheers.

A cool Numnutz start this morning .. with a fresh blustery wind arriving right on meeting time.
Large swell, along with a fast moving tide and wind meant the course was a standard over to the breakwall and back.
Today's stats - air temp 13° (wind chill 8) - water temp 15° with an incoming tide. 15 signed in for the swim.
Back at the pub for a welcoming warm fire and hot soup .. thanks again to the kitchen crew. And also to Al and the bar staff for the hospitality and good will .. here's cheers 👍

Sunny skies and crystal clear water .. perfect winter swimming weather !!
Stats - air temp 11° - water 14°. Outgoing tide - Course was out through the Bar - 11 signed in for the swim .. a bit of swell on the sets, but all safe and accounted for back on the beach.
The usual card table cheers and a toast in memory of Ray , then back to the pub for another tasty hot soup. Thanks to Rob in the kitchen .. nicely done !

Ripper of a morning on Wagonga Inlet ! .. ideal winter swimming conditions.
Swim course was a fun one, our old favourite - Hole in the Rock (Australia Rock) down to the Town Wharf on the incoming tide.
12 'Nutz signed in for the swim .. Air temp began at a brisk 8 deg but did rise a little by the start of the swim. Water temp 15°
Card table set up on the wharf for the usual after swim hot cuppa & a rum , all enjoying the warm sunshine out of the breeze.
Then just a short jog up the hill to the pub, Numnutz HQ, and at the round table again for a tasty hot seafood & veg soup.Thanks to the kitchen crew .. good job !
Some NN general business was discussed, including plans for the upcoming 20th anniversary weekend and dinner - next month, 22nd August.

A chilly Numnutz start to the morning .. with a very blowy westerly wind on the inlet.
Todays stats - water temp 15°(in the channel, but was colder in the bay) - air temp 12°(wind chill factor down to 4°!)
10 of our true and hardy signed in for the swim course, over to the Nth Breakwall & back (with another look at the new net pylons along the way.) Outgoing tide.
Instead of the card table, it was back to the tailgate on the ute and shelter out of the wind, for a rum, a bonox or a coffee.
A toasty fire at the pub, and a nice creamy pork&fennel soup to warm us up .. thankyou Kashi & the kitchen crew.
And appreciation to Narooma Hotel and staff for the great service as always .. here's cheers 👍
