s from the local Yuin Aboriginal word, Noorooma, meaning 'clear blue waters'. Since 2010 our members have gained accreditation in Coaching and Sweeping, represented NSW at a National level and been competitive in short and long course racing. We regularly combine with other Southern Region clubs for social paddling on local waterways, one of the highlights being the 20km Mallacoota paddle hosted by Merimbula Water Dragons. Some of our club's major achievements have been the construction of a boat shed on the foreshore of the Wagonga Inlet and the purchase of a second dragon boat to ensure everyone is able to get out on the water as member numbers grow. More recently we replaced our original second-hand boat with a brand new 20s dragon boat.

A slight delay whilst loading up the boat today...Jane needed to disentangle an octopus from her leg. Late in the paddle she suffered a cramp...on the same leg! Also kangaroos and sea eagles on a perfect paddle.

Another stunning Wagonga sunset paddle. Hard to beat as a way to exercise and enjoy the company of friends!

An all-female crew on Saturday put in the hard yards with chatting at a minimum! Whilst having a break someone mentioned seeing a dolphin...turns out it was a cloud formation. Everyone helped get the pristine boat back in the shed and then it was off for our usual coffee fix.

A late afternoon paddle for twelve of us. The inlet was calm with only birds and fish to ruffle the surface. We enjoyed the spectacle of a sea eagle in the fading sunlight.
