Some helpful reminders 🙂🙂

🔥 Are you ready for Saturday?!

Here are a few must-knows to keep things running smoothly on Saturday.

✅ Player Sign-On
• All players sign the scoreboard in full – no ticks or initials.
• This is the official record checked by competition officials.

✅ Scorers Sign-On
• Both scorers sign the board in the correct section.
• Both must write and agree on the final score before handing in.

✅ Officials at Every Game
• 2 scorers (1 from each team) + 1 timekeeper (from the first-named/home team).
• Officials must be capable, remain together all game, and not engage with players, coaches, or spectators.
• Only 1 designated person per team may approach scorers at breaks to check scores.
• Coaches are NOT to approach the scorers during the game.
• Games will not start or continue if these three officials are not present at all times during the game. No officials = No game.

✅ Timekeeper’s Role
• Record stoppages as communicated by the umpire, on a mobile and ensure scorers note them.
• At ¾ time, tell the umpires the extra time to be added to the 4th quarter.
• Advise the umpire when 15 seconds remain, and when extra time is complete.

✅ Drawn Games
• Extra time is played at the end of full time (including stoppage time).
• A C&DNA rep will be the official timer.
• 2 min break → two 5-min halves → if still drawn, play continues until 2-goal advantage.

✅ Scoreboards
• Umpires will bring scoreboards to the courts.
• The winning team is to return the scoreboard to control.
• Teams are still responsible for ensuring scoreboards are completed correctly.

✅ Spectators
• All spectators (including Club Committees) must stay in designated areas.
• No one is permitted on baselines. They will be moved on.
• For the safety of all - children should not be playing or running near courts during games.

Here come the Taipans 🐍🐍
More Than Just a Netball Team!!
This year, our team welcomed four new players into the mix, joining the other five who have been playing together for the past few years. And honestly, you’d never know they were new! They fitted in like they’d been part of the team from day one.

What started as a netball team has become so much more. They’ve built genuine friendships, created memories, and formed a bond that we know will continue long after the final whistle.

They’re kind, fun, energetic and always up for a good time — with a serious love for singing and dancing! There were plenty of dance sessions at training, sometimes with a little netball in between!

We couldn’t be prouder of the team they’ve become — not just for how they play together, but for how they support, encourage and celebrate each other.

Nine players, one team, countless laughs and friendships that will last well beyond netball.

This season has been a honour to coach you all.
From the start of the season with a group of new players, to now having skills that have developed increasingly over the past year. It is such an incredible achievement to have made it to the grand final and I couldn’t be more proud to be your coach.

The Seafires started the year with the goal of making finals and these girls have worked hard this year on achieving that goal 💪🏻
Gala day helped us identify what we needed to work on and every training session and game day since we have worked to put those skills onto court.
Watching their growth and development as players over the year has been an absolute highlight.
A season ending injury before round 13 meant changing our plans and positions and the girls met the challenge head on.
The effort they have put in all season was obvious on Saturday when they played their best game yet to secure their place in the grand final!
I am incredibly proud of them all and can’t wait to watch them shine this Saturday.

💚💛Go the mighty Thunderbolts!!

What can I say, Thunderbolts have come along way with only 5 girls who were in the same team last year coming back this season.. then we had another 5 girls come on board. They all came together and started combining as a team straight away! They ALWAYS come to training, never let each other down & the spirit in this team just gets stronger & stronger!

They are ready to play in the grand final!
They believe in themselves!!

🏐 FINALS NETBALL! 💙

It’s Finals time, which means the games get bigger, the sidelines get louder, every shot counts, the scores get closer and there are no second chances! 🔥

With all the excitement of Finals, a friendly reminder to keep things positive, respectful and enjoyable around the courts 💙🏐

✨ Respect your opposition
👏 Back your teammates
💙 Support our volunteers
🤍 Respect our officials
🙌 Cheer loudly for your club/team
🏐 And most importantly… having a BALL with your mates!

Will you agree with every umpiring decision? Probably not.

Will your team sink every goal they attempt? Definitely not.

But that’s netball! Decisions will be made, games will be won and lost, and sometimes the scoreboard won’t go the way you hoped.

Remember, Finals don’t happen without the people behind the scenes — coaches, umpires, scorers, timekeepers, volunteers and committee members. They’re all giving their time to make sure our players can take the court and enjoy their Finals experience💙

So bring the energy. Bring the signs. Bring the loudest supporters you’ve got and leave it all on the court 💪

Cheer for the long bomb shots. Celebrate the intercepts. Get behind your teammates. Enjoy the nerves, the excitement and everything in between that makes the Finals ride what it is! 💙🏐
