Congratulations to the SWGDL Summer Season 2026 Champions, Predators, who secured the championship with a hard-earned 8–6 win over defending premiers, Cheers.
Both teams put on a spectacular display of darts, proving exactly why they earned their place on the biggest stage of the season. It was a grand final worthy of the occasion, with quality darts, determination, and sportsmanship on show throughout the night.
We would also like to congratulate the SWGDL Summer Season 2026 Don Brown Memorial Trophy Champions, Dart Vaders.
The ultimate underdogs, Dart Vaders defied the odds just to reach the grand final, winning the preliminary final the previous week with only four players available. That victory secured them the golden ticket to the big dance, where they faced a strong Mud Rats outfit that had been one of the standout teams all season and entered the match as favorites.
Mud Rats once again produced the high standard of darts they have displayed throughout the season, but on this occasion Dart Vaders found a way to get the job done, securing an 8–6 victory and etching their names into SWGDL history.
Congratulations to all teams who made the finals series. Every side played exceptionally well and represented their teams with pride.
Predators and Dart Vaders, take a bow. You played hard, showed determination when it mattered most, and earned the right to be crowned SWGDL Summer Season 2026 Champions. Well played, lads. Well played.
A special thank you also goes to the players from non-competing teams who attended the grand finals to support their fellow league members. We may be a small league, but nights like these show the strength of our darting community. Supporting one another, whether you're playing or cheering from the sidelines, is what makes the SWGDL such a great league to be part of.
