The Nangwarry Football Club is thrilled to announce that Jacob “Murchy” Murchison has re-signed with the Saints for the 2027 season!

After making his way to Nangwarry from Woodville South, Murchy has become an important part of our playing group over the past two seasons and we’re excited to have him back for a third season in 2027.

Murchy brings plenty of experience, speed and that X-factor that can turn a game in a heartbeat. His pressure around the contest and in the front half is a huge asset, and he certainly isn’t afraid to put on a show and get the crowd talking!

🏐 A GRADE COACH ANNOUNCEMENT – 2027 🏐

The Nangwarry Netball Club is excited to announce Kate Biszko as our A Grade Coach for the 2027 season! ❤️🖤🤍

Kate is no stranger to the court, with the versatility and experience to play across all positions. Her understanding of the game, combined with her passion for Nangwarry, will be a great asset as she steps into the coaching role next season.

One of Kate’s biggest passions is seeing our junior players develop, thrive and progress through the ranks, helping to build a strong pathway from our junior grades right through to senior netball.

We’re excited to see Kate bring her knowledge, enthusiasm and love of the game to our A Grade side and continue helping build the future of netball at Nangwarry.

We’re excited to announce that Joel Virtanen will continue in his role as Assistant Coach at Nangwarry Football Club in 2027, working alongside Craig Hicks.

Joel has been a proud part of the Nangwarry Football Club family since first pulling on the jumper as a junior back in 2012. Since then, he has developed into an outstanding footballer, leader and clubman, earning multiple Best & Fairest awards along the way.

After stepping into the coaching team in 2026, Joel has continued to bring his strong football knowledge, commitment to elite conditioning and genuine passion for helping those around him.

His leadership, work ethic and drive to see our playing group succeed make him a valuable part of our coaching team. We’re thrilled to have Joel continuing alongside Craig as we look ahead to another big season.

We know Joel will continue to play an important role in developing our players, supporting our coaching team and helping build the future of Nangwarry Football Club.

Welcome back for 2027, Joel! We’re looking forward to seeing what the coaching team can achieve.

⚫️⚪️🔴Nangwarry Netball Club would like to congratulate Asha Dinnison on making her A Grade debut against Tantanoola on the weekend.

Asha was fortunate enough to share this special milestone with her mum, Cassie Dinnison, a long-term A Grade player and Life Member of our club. It was a proud moment for both Asha and the club to see them take the court together.

Asha played a fantastic game against some tough and experienced opposition. She put her long arms to great use, applying strong pressure over the ball, creating turnovers, and driving strongly out of defence. Her determination, effort, and willingness to take on the challenge were outstanding.

We are incredibly proud of you, Asha, and can't wait to watch you continue to develop and grow in the years ahead. Congratulations on your A Grade debut! ❤️🤍🖤

We are excited to announce that Craig Hicks will take on the role of Senior Coach for the 2027 season.

Craig is certainly no stranger to Nangwarry Football Club, having been involved with the Saints for many years as both a player and coach. His coaching journey has included leading our Seniors back in 2015, and more recently coaching our Senior Colts alongside Shane Grigg.

Craig has also been heavily involved in developing young footballers and representative sport in the Limestone Coast, bringing plenty of experience, knowledge and a genuine passion for helping players improve.

His long-standing connection to the club, understanding of our playing group and commitment to Nangwarry make him a fantastic fit to lead our senior side into 2027.

We are excited to have Hicksy stepping into the role and look forward to seeing what the 2027 season brings.

Archer has played his entire juniors in the red, white and black. After an outstanding junior career, which included a Senior Colts League Best and Fairest, We’re thrilled to see him continue his journey with the Saints.
