Around early May I put out notices about the big month we had ahead of us. Well we’ve made it through the month.
We began proceedings with a preparatory working bee to tidy some things up around the club surrounds.
Next weekend we hosted 80 kids aged 11 and under in a coloured ball junior tennis tournament.
This was followed next weekend with the full junior development tournament over 2 days with a packed program due to great numbers.
The next weekend we welcomed Andie back with a pickleball social afternoon where locals tested their skills.
Over last Friday, Saturday and Sunday we hosted most of the events in the Sunshine Coast tennis vets tournament.
I’m pleased to say that all events went off very well, apart from some periods of rain interrupting play. A big thank you to all who have contributed to our successes . Contributions of your time, donations of money for canteen supplies, homemade cakes ( love the choc cupcakes), slices, quiche etc were popular. Your contributions have been generous. THANK YOU.

We have a big month of activity coming up and we are calling for some help please. To start this Saturday we are having a working bee, mostly tidying advertising banners etc, so we will need a few hands to hold these in place etc.
We are obliged to make food and drinks available over the following weekends.
Sunday 26 April ~ Junior Coloured ball tournament on the morning of.

Saturday, Sunday 2, 3 May ~ Junior Development tournament, all day.

Saturday 9 May ~ Pickleball social, come try your skills against world no 20 female, Andie and some of her friends. 2 to 5 pm

Saturday, Sunday 16, 17 May ~ we are primary host of Sunshine Coast Vets Tennis tournament. All day.

You can help by
1 Coming to working bee this Saturday 18th starting at 2pm
2 Court supervisor for a few hours at Junior Coloured ball event, they are under 10s so simply need help scoring etc.
3 Assisting to run the canteen. Helen usually does a large proportion of this but is unavailable at times this year. Call Helen on 0438885420 or Rob on 0418980118
4 Providing some home cooked food such as cakes, tarts, $$ for sausages, bread etc for the canteen.
All proceeds from the canteen go back into enhancing our club surrounds.
Last year we received very favourable comments about the friendliness, efficiency and attractiveness of the centre.
Now is your time to help continue this growth, call Rob on 0418980118 or catch me at the courts to confirm how/when you are going to help🙏🏻🙏🏻
