We had some mixed results from our Nambour teams last Saturday, the open Gr8 men defeated Buderim by 2 rinks to 1, the division 3 8s men went down to Pelican Waters by 2 rinks to 1, also our ladies 8s went down to Mooloolaba by 2 rinks to 1.
Our Hinterland Local League men posted a win against Mapleton 2, and the ladies drew with Glasshouse.

The final of the men's fours was played at Nambour yesterday with Bob Hare, Lester Krosch, Laurie Axiak and Dave Robson defeating Robert Combes, Bret Sinclair, Michael Craigie and Tony Green by 23 shots to 19.

Wonderful in visit today from the Bribie Island RSL Social Bowlers, lots of great fellowship, fun and even some good bowls. Lunch was enjoyed by 48 visitors, and after the game a sausage sizzle. Thanks to our visitors for making the day so enjoyable and thanks to all the Nambour Bowlers for coming to support our club.

Another successful day for all but one of our teams yesterday. Our open division of the Gr8s played at home against Rainbow Beach who defeated Nambour on all three rinks. At home also our Gr8 ladies played against Kenilworth and won the day 2 rinks to 1.
Men's division 3 of the Gr8s played at Bongaree and won the day 2 rinks to 1.
In the Hinterland Local League our men and women's teams played away to Mapleton yesterday, and both teams were successful.
Well done everybody, keep up the good work.

All Nambour's teams were successful on Saturday 18th, giving a solid follow up to the previous week.
Our men's Gr8 open division were successful against Tewantin Noosa, and the division 3. 8s defeated 'Maroochy Beach. The Gr8 ladies team had a good win over Bongaree, and both men and women in the Hinterland Local League were successful against Woombye.
Well done to all players, keep up the good work.

Nambour Bowls Club had a very successful start to the Gr8 and the Hinterland local league competitions last Saturday.
Our men's open division played away at Buderim and won by 8 points to 2.
Division 3 in the Gr8 played at home against Mooloolaba and won by 8 points to 2
Our Gr8 ladies restricted team played at home against Pelican Waters and won by 8 points to 2.

Nambour Hinterland Local League teams played at home against Palmwoods, and Nambour was successful in both men's and ladies matches.
Nambour men won by 3 points to 2, and the ladies won 3-0.

Well done to all players, a great start to the season.

Christmas party and presentation night was held last night at the club, 72 members and guests enjoyed a meal and caught up with old friends. Too many winners to name them all, but the singles champions for 2016 were Peter Nixon in the men's section, and Joy Hatch in the ladies.
Merry Christmas to all members, and have a safe and prosperous 2017.
