It is with great sadness that we acknowledge the passing of Nev Hegerty, Life Member of the Nambour Cricket Club.

Nev was a true gentleman, both on and off the field. His kindness, sportsmanship, and dedication to our club left a lasting impression on everyone who had the privilege of knowing him. He will be deeply missed and fondly remembered.

Family, friends, club members, and all who knew Nev are warmly invited to join us as we celebrate his life and honour his memory.

In our first season with our joint club, our Div 1 Men's team secured the win in the one-day semi finals v Maroochydore💪

Congratulations to the boys for an amazing final to chase and secure the win 3/219.

🏏 Welcome Ryan Charles – Our New Game Development Officer! 🏏

We’re excited to officially welcome Ryan Charles to the Sunshine Coast Cricket Association team as our new part-time Game Development Officer!

Ryan brings over a decade of experience in the sports industry, including impactful roles with Queensland Cricket, NRL, and Queensland Rugby League — all right here on the Sunshine Coast. His passion for community sport, combined with a strong background in athlete wellbeing and youth engagement, makes him a perfect fit for this new pilot position.

As GDO, Ryan will focus on:
🔹 Growing junior cricket participation through a three-stage school engagement model
🔹 Strengthening club-school links across the region
🔹 Supporting clubs with wellbeing resources on key topics like mental health and social media
🔹 Driving female cricket growth through fun, inclusive initiatives
🔹 Facilitating partnerships for mental health support, including an exciting new partnership (coming soon!)
