I spoke to the organiser from Redbank re our proposed inter club pb match. He has suggested they would like to wait a month or two but definitely a Saturday and liked the idea of 2 sessions, morning and afternoon with a sausage sizzle lunch.
He did suggest they might be able to bring up to 60 people. If this happens we might need some help finding players. Anyway stay tuned for more news.
On the home front let’s hope the weather improves this week for our Tuesday, Wednesday and Sunday sessions.

Below is an extract from an email I received this week about BACK PAIN MANAGEMENT. I have accepted his invitation to hold a free one hour information session in our clubhouse on Thursday 23rd July at 7pm. Everyone is welcome to attend.

Hi Rob,
It was lovely chatting with you today, and thank you for taking the time to learn a little more about what I do.
As promised, I've attached some information about my background, along with a brochure outlining a presentation that I believe would be of genuine interest to your members.
For more than 40 years, I have worked in the pain and injury field, helping people understand why recurring pain develops and, more importantly, why it keeps coming back. Throughout my career, I have worked with everyone from everyday Australians through to elite athletes, including Andre Agassi, Lleyton Hewitt, Glenn McGrath, Luke McAlister, and athletes from various professional sporting codes.
I have also been invited to speak at universities internationally and was honoured to be invited as a guest speaker at the European Olympic Committees Congress on pain and human performance.
Over the years, I have developed an educational presentation specifically for tennis players called:
"Why Tennis Causes Back Pain – And What You Can Do About It"
The presentation is educational, interactive, and easy to understand. It helps players better understand:
• Why back pain is so common in tennis.
• Why pain often keeps returning despite treatment.
• The physical stress patterns that contribute to pain and restriction.
• Practical techniques that can help improve movement, comfort, and confidence on and off the court.
The presentation runs for approximately 60 minutes and is provided completely free of charge to the club. My objective is simply to provide value to members through education and practical understanding. Should anyone wish to explore further support afterwards, that is entirely their choice.
I'm excited about the possibility of speaking to your members next Thursday.
Warm regards,
Gary Little

While I think of it, spoke to the guy about a possible inter club match. I got location wrong, it’s Redbank. I have suggested they come to us first, which they have agreed to and we shifted date to 8 August. More details to sort out.
Interest online has been very slow, thanks to the few who contacted me or added comment indicating an interest. I do need more indications of interest if we are going to pursue this further so please drop a comment if this might be of interest.

Our club has been asked if we are interested in playing an inter club match on Saturday 25th July. We would travel to Redland Bay to play and a return match at our centre may be organised later. I didn’t get a lot of details but said we would be interested subject to getting sufficient players.
To ascertain this could you please leave a comment below that you may be interested in participating, but subject to knowing more details. They have said they have done this with other clubs around Brisbane and could muster up to 60 players if required, a number I don’t think we could match.
Anyway please leave a comment to indicate you would be interested and I will pursue further details over the weekend.
Regards
Rob
