Beautiful start to regatta day

Nagambie rowers, problems with boat launching caused by the drop in the lake level have now been addressed. We've borrowed a couple of floating pontoons from the regatta centre and secured them to the dock to create graduated steps to a safe launching level.

All users are reminded to exercise caution though. Too much load (rowers and boats) on the outboard edge of the wooden floating dock can cause it to partially submerge. This will be particularly relevant if launching quads or two doubles at the same time. Patience is urged.

Also, the GMW's recent warning re blue-green algae is still current for lake users. It is due to be updated tomorrow, Fri 31 May 19. See the GMW website for further information.

Easter, Anzac and school holidays have been and gone. Go Fish is over (hopefully having success and benefitting the region). Now its time to get back on the water and get rowing. State and National Masters championships are just around the corner. So lets get those muscles working and boats moving.

A beautiful day for a long row today. Sue, escorted by Dave and Andy, checked out the Head of the Goulburn course in singles. First time rowing the course for a couple of us. 21.5K from the RC and back. Hard work but sensational water and scenery. We plan to make it a regular winter base training session...after we've had a little recovery nap 😁

Looks like the boatshed fairy paid us a visit today. Tilta-doors looking great now in club colours.

Due to increasing popularity of Sue's Tuesday evening erg session a 2nd session is now being run on Wednesdays at the same time of 5.30pm. Tuesday is popular with the ladies so Wed is aimed at men but all rowers are welcome at either session. Both are held upstairs in the clubhouse at Buckley Park.
