Geraldton Cycling Academy and Spokes Cycle Club were the lucky recipients of the generosity of Jarrahdale. (Check out their fb page and website to see the important work they do).
They donated a significant amount of brand new, old season Pedal Mafia cycling apparel for our local cyclists.

This arrangement was courtesy of a very kind gentleman named Phil who attended our Backroads Gravel pre events (as well as racing in the main event!).

Thankyou to all involved who made this possible. The majority of kit was small sizes so keep your eye out for a lot of very well dressed kids in town and make you sure give them a big wave 👋

We also have a small amount remaining if you know a kid who would like some new threads, please and us a message and we’ll hook them up if we can 👍

If you got some of the kit and have a photo you wouldn’t mind sharing, we’d love to see it in the wild!

💛 Congratulations to the inaugural Kerry May 'True Grit' Award recipient, Marissa Drummond. 🏆

Presented by Max May, this award recognises the determination, resilience and community spirit that Kerry embodied and celebrates those who inspire others through their actions.

An accomplished local cyclist and coach, Marissa has shown incredible perseverance, fighting her way back from two serious injuries to line up in this year's 100km Fields of Gold.

Beyond her own achievements, Marissa has played a huge role in growing cycling throughout the Mid West, creating opportunities that have encouraged countless riders to build confidence, get involved and become part of the Backroads Gravel community since day one.

Marissa, we couldn't think of a more deserving inaugural recipient. Congratulations on this well-earned recognition. 💐💛

💛 To our incredible farmers and landowners... thank you.

Backroads Gravel simply wouldn't be possible without the generosity of our local farming community.

Year after year, you open your properties to thousands of participants, giving us the rare privilege of riding and running through some of the Mid West's most spectacular landscapes.

But your support goes far beyond access.

You open your sheds and paddocks, lead participants with your machinery, help transport people back to the event village, volunteer at aid stations, serve with St John WA, and quietly step in wherever you're needed.

Your generosity, trust and community spirit are what make Backroads Gravel unlike any other event.
