Budding Myrtleford Savoy Soccer Club Mini Roos hit the grounds running this morning at Yackandandahs 2026 Gala Day. Plenty of big smiles, hi-5s, sharp passing and team goals were all on show. The hard work all of the children have been putting in, and applying to their game is clearly showing.

Thank you once more to all of our coaches, assistants, parents and supporters who make this all happen.

Training This Week & Yackandandah Gala -

Our 9s, 10s and 11s are back to training Wednesday, we will also have a BBQ at the conclusion. Thanks again to Phil Hill warming up all the bellys of our mini roos. With the gala day Sunday, the 5s to 11s are not training Saturday.

Sunday we will be taking a full host of teams to Yackandandah for their gala day which is always a brilliant day and a sensational sporting ground. Coaches will reach out this week to lock in the Myrtleford Savoy Soccer Club teams for the day.

Save the date -

Wednesday July 1st we have booked the mini roos in for a visit to the Myrtleford Hotel for dinner. We pride ourselves with our connections and support from all our various donors and sponsors and cant wait to enjoy a dinner together with all the Myrtleford Savoy Soccer Club mini roos, parents and coaches.

We encourage everyone to support the Myrtleford Hotel with a bite to eat on the evening as they are the programs major sponsor, jumping on board in 2025. Brian will start taking orders from 5.30pm on the evening being its a school night.

The winner of the 5 metres of wood kindly donated to the mini roos to raffle we will draw on the night, and tickets will still be available.

Thanks again to Brian, Renee and Matt at the Myrt, absolute legends.

With training cancelled today due to rain for the 9s, 10s and 11s, we are off to see Tia at Buffalo Boulders Myrtleford. We were looking at a visit next month but lets keep the Myrtleford Savoy Soccer Club mini roos active this week, visit another local sports club and challange ourselves against the wall !!!

Please get there by 4.45pm tomorrow, 5.00pm start to 6.00pm. Parents please click on the link below to register your mini roo ahead of time.

Plenty of fun for the MSSC Mini Roos heading into Winter, with a double header again at the Albury-Wodonga Football Association Mini Roos competition in Wodonga Saturday, and up to Mt Beauty today for another fun packed alpine gala day.

Theres no shortcuts to growth for the mini roos, games, games and more games with there team mates and under the careful attention of there coaches is the key to there success. Well done participating, improving and building strong friendships on and off the park.

We end May with another huge week for Myrtleford Savoy Soccer Club Mini Roos. Thanks to everyone once more who attended our Gala Saturday, feedback has been brilliant.

Wednesday Training 9s to 11s

Saturday Albury-Wodonga Football Association Mini Roos Competition 8s, 9s and 11s and

Sunday Mt Beauty Gala Day 5s to 11s teams will be dependant on attendees. Coaches will be in contact to confirm attendance of mini roos this week.

What a huge day for junior football at grass roots level at the Myrtleford Savoy Soccer Club. With Bright, Yackandandah and Mt Beauty attending we hosted teams from under 5s to under 13s age levels across a very busy and fast paced morning and afternoon. A joy to see so many people attend in what could be out biggest gala yet.

Smiles from ear to ear, plenty of big team plays and some friendly competition for good measure made it a carnival like atmosphere.

Thanks as always to our long line of coaches, volenteers, canteen staff and those who helped set up and pack up for the gala. Onto next week ⚽️

We have 5 metres of wood donated to the MSSC mini roos to raffle. Raffle will be drawn Wednesday July 1st to give us all some time to buy some tickets.
