Registration for our MDBA Saints Representative Basketball Team Tryouts are now open.

Tryouts for our Girls and Boys Teams across all age groups will be held on Sunday 16th and 23rd of July 2023. Times to be confirmed.

**U12 Boys will have an extra tryout next Wednesday 28th June @ 6PM.
All tryouts to be held at the Myrtleford Basketball Stadium.
Players must be registered to tryout via the below PLAYHQ Link.

Hi all!
Just a friendly reminder, when you visit the stadium, please do NOT park your car in the space directly in front of the doors. This space is for emergency vehicle access. I will ask you to move your car if parked there.
Also, please leave room on the side of the car park, so people can drive around to exit.

ATTENTION BASKETBALL COMMUNITY

CAR PARK SITUATION THIS WEEK

Thank you to everyone for what has been a great start to our domestic season.

As it is the Myrtleford Show this weekend, preparations for this have already started at the showgrounds surrounding the Myrtleford Indoor Stadium.

A large part of the car park is being used for rides and show activities and has left minimal parking options.
This is not ideal for parking at the stadium and is a safety concern of the committee.

Please park on the grass and nearby areas and be careful when entering the stadium.

Also please do not allow children to play or be unsupervised outside the stadium.

We apologise for the inconvenience.

Message from the MDBA President

To Myrtleford District Basketball Association, players, members and families,

Welcome to the 2022/23 season.

Firstly I’d like to acknowledge the outgoing president Brendan Cusack.
Your dedication and contribution to the basketball community has not gone unnoticed. We are very fortunate to have you on the committee for the upcoming season.
You have done so much to keep this association alive throughout some very difficult years. Thank you.

Thank you to our executive and general committee members for all of your work thus far and for your committee contribution.

General Committee - Marty Hughes, Adam Pascoe, Nella Muraca, Josh & Amanda Robb, Danielle Durling, Loretta Power, Gianna Bromley, Kit Cartwright, Bronwyn Mclees, Damon Barker, Brendan Cusack, Racquel Stevens, and Craig Millar.

We are 2 weeks into the new season and our committee has been working tirelessly to get it up and running.
I’d like to welcome returning and new players and their families to the M.D.B.A community as well.

This season we have seen a great number of registrations across our senior and domestic level with 137 seniors, 210 juniors and 64 in our Aussie hoops program.
I’d also like to acknowledge our rep squads representing M.D.B.A.
This season we have:
9 Saints teams competing for M.D.B.A in the Junior Representative program
2 sides competing in the CBL (Country Basketball League)
It's an amazing feeling seeing so many people out at the stadium again.
Basketball is back!

I’d also like to say a massive thankyou to our referees, scorers, coaches and team managers. Our season wouldn’t go ahead without your help.

Had a great time away, but it’s good to be back, enjoying the domestic basketball once again. The amount of Aussie Hoops kids is unbelievable! Let’s bring on the rest of the season!
