VACANCY | Senior Cricket Coordinator
Position Overview:
Mylor Cricket Club is seeking a dedicated individual to fill the position of Senior Cricket Coordinator. This role is open to both playing and non-playing members and will be pivotal in overseeing the operations of three senior teams within the Hills Cricket Association (A1, A2, and A3).
Responsibilities:
- Organise and conduct training sessions weekly, ensuring all senior team members are adequately prepared for upcoming matches.
- Actively participate in the recruitment of new players, promoting a welcoming and inclusive environment within the club.
- Collaborate with team captains in the selection process, considering player form and team dynamics.
- Play an integral role during match days, providing support and guidance to players and volunteers as needed.
- Foster a positive team culture that emphasises sportsmanship, skill development, and enjoyment of the game.
Requirements:
- Passion for cricket and a strong understanding of the game.
- Effective communication and leadership skills to engage with players, club management, and the local community.
- Ability to commit to a weekly training schedule and match days throughout the cricket season.
- Experience in player recruitment and team management is advantageous.
- Capable of working collaboratively within a volunteer-based sports organisation.
Remuneration:
Remuneration for this position will be commensurate with the candidate's experience and qualifications.
