Letting all on our centenary page know the details of the funeral of our beautiful Thel Warwick who passed away last Wednesday.

The funeral service is at the Chapel at Hogbin Drive crematorium on Monday 26th Sep at 10am and afterwards at the North Beach recreation and bowling club from 12 pm onward.

Fly high with the angels sweet Thel.

Oh what a night!!!

Tomorrow is party night! We’ve been thrilled with the response to our celebration. It’s shaping up to be a memorable night and the hottest ticket in town, even with the rain!



Parking 🚗🚙

Parking around the surf club will be less than normal. Wet weather means we have set the marquees up on the carpark. Please use nearby George St and Alma Doepel parking areas. Please consider carpooling! Please be respectful of our neighbours.



On arrival 🍽 ⏱

Our event begins at 5pm. Dinner served from 6pm. Please check in to the registration desk to collect your wrist bands for your dinner. Dinner will be served from a buffet.



The weather ☔️☔️🌧

It is unfortunately forecast to rain. Please don’t wear white or fancy shoes! There is a lot of mud about and water can pool around the grounds. It’s sturdy flat soled shoes all the way please.

We have multiple marquees but we can’t shelter the entire area so please bring an umbrella for trips to the loo and back to your car.



BYO event 🍺🍷🧃

This is a BYO drinks event. Please bring your own soft and hard drinks. There will be no bar or drinks on sale at this event. We will have glassware available.

Coolers or eskys will need to be placed under tables or on the perimeter of the marquees so please don’t go too big!



Surf club access 📷🩱

We know that you’ll be keen to check out the clubhouse. There are some displays of photos and other memorabilia upstairs in the club house. Please visit some time throughout the evening.



Mozzies and leeches🦟🦟

With the recent rains, the mozzies and leeches have come out to play. Please be well prepared with insect repellent.

We spent this morning preparing the surf club site as best we can for wet weather. We've got as much shelter as we can muster and we think we can accommodate more partygoers!

We would like to thank everyone for the enthusiasm for our celebration. It truly has been wonderful to see the club holds a special place in the hearts of so many.

Note that numbers are at capacity for our sit down dinner as we have limited space under the cover of our big marquees and shelters and rain is forecast.
