A huge field of 34 drivers from right across the East Coast will be trackside at Western Sydney Speedway this Saturday night, all chasing victory in this prestigious event.

Western Sydney - 14th February - Valentine’s Day

With the weather looking iffy early on, we weren’t sure how the night would play out but we still made it to the track and got the job done!

**Heat 1**
We rolled out starting 10th on the grid. After the earlier rain, the track was slick and tricky, so it was all about feeling things out and finding where the grip was. We worked our way forward and brought it home in 8th. Not a bad start to the night!

**Heat 2**
Starting off pole, we nailed the start and held our line strong from green to checkered. The car felt great and we managed to keep the lead the entire race, bringing home the win! A huge moment with Sydney’s first race win!

**Feature Race**
Once again, we lined up on pole, but with the time between races the track had completely changed. Grip was hard to find and we did everything we could to make it work, but it just wasn’t there for us. We fought hard and finished 9th.

Happy Australia Day weekend! 🇦🇺

• Lake Liddell Race Update

We arrived at Lake Liddell to extreme temperatures, making for a challenging night for both drivers and teams. Despite the heat, Brendan delivered a strong performance and remained unfazed behind the wheel.

Running consistently in third position for the majority of the race, the car was showing good pace. However, after noticing white smoke, he made the call to back off to avoid further issues, bringing the car home in fourth place.

Upon returning to the trailer, we discovered oil throughout the engine bay and along the side panels. It appears the oil plug was lost somewhere between home and the track. While the issue is minor, we chose to err on the side of caution and made the decision to pack up and bring the car home for inspection.

Overall, a solid night with positives to take away. We’ll regroup, tidy a few things up, and be ready for the next meeting.

Compact Recap – 3 January

After unpacking and reflecting on last night’s meeting, we’ve come away extremely happy and proud of our results. thankyou to the compact Speedway association for allowing a smooth sailing night!

Heat Two:
Rolling out from the rear of the field in our first Compact race, we managed to gain two positions and brought the car home in 8th, which we were very pleased with.

Heat Four:
Once again starting from the back of the field, we may not have gained positions, but we stayed competitive and maintained pace with the pack for the duration of the race.

Feature Race:
Brendan rolled out from 2nd on the grid, and what a race it turned out to be. We held 3rd–4th for much of the opening stages before a few noses pushed through. After missing a competitor, we ran the top line, which opened a gap and dropped us back a few positions, finishing the feature in 7th overall.

We finish the night with one of our strongest performances to date. The car felt great, the old man drove exceptionally well, and best of all, we loaded up with a straight, one-piece race car. Unfortunately, we can’t say the same for the GoPro we lost along the way!

Gold Cup Recap -

We hope everyone had a happy and safe Christmas 🎄

On Boxing Day, we headed to Western Sydney Speedway for the 29th annual running of the Gold Cup. It was a fantastic event, and we would like to sincerely thank everyone involved in making the night run so smoothly.

Our night began in Heat 2, starting from pole position. While still learning the reshaped track, we dropped back to fifth but still recorded a quick pace, setting our best lap time at 12.042.

In Heat 4, we started from eighth position and maintained that spot for the duration of the race.

For the Gold Cup feature, we stayed committed to our setup and approach, rolling out from 13th and bringing the car home in 11th. Unfortunately, a few of our competitors had their night end early due to an upturn, and we wish them all the best.

We are very grateful to have loaded the car back into the trailer in one piece and running well. Thank you to everyone who helped make the event an enjoyable one. And a huge thankyou to our sponsors that help us make this dream stay alive 👊🏼

We look forward to being back at Western Sydney Speedway this Saturday, January 3rd, where we’ll be competing in a compact car (no wings).
