I got to race in the New South Wales speedway kart championship yesterday Lake Liddell Speedbowl. Here is footage from the end of my first heat race. Head over to What's On Speedway TV to see the full race meeting. I’ll write a run down of how I went later today.

I had a better than expected start to the night with a last to first heat race win and a 2nd place finish for heat two but that’s when my good run ended.
I started the feature race from p2 and within a lap or two I hit the infield tyres which had me restarting from the rear.
With most of the 25 laps left on the board I knew I had time to get to the front but after getting by the first of the back markers we had wheel contact which bent the rear axle and dropped the chain ending my race 👎🏼
Regardless I still had fun and I might be back sooner than later this time.

Dan Morris dusted off his boots, putting his foot to the floor and snatching the lead in the latter stages of the Heat 3 here at the bowl.

Well it’s been about 2 and a half years since I’ve been behind the wheel but I’m ready to give it another crack at Lake Liddell Speedbowl for the first time next weekend.
I hope my race suit hasn’t shrunk 😉

This Saturday will be 742 days since being behind the wheel of any kind of race car. Might as well knock the cobwebs off at Kurri Kurri Speedway this weekend in dads #26 125cc non gearbox speedway kart. 🤘🏼
