Hi all NSW Modern Pentathlon Community
I wanted to give you all a quick update on Pentathlon and related sports in this state.
As many of you may know, I (Amos Vagg, Vice President) am moving to Perth, and will no longer be the main face you see at events in NSW.
For the time being, I will still be doing most of the communications and social media for the organisation, organise equipment loans and help with the admin side of events, and will remain vice president until our AGM early next year unless someone expresses eagerness to take my place prior to this.
If you are interested in any role to help support the organisation (especially as social media manager as that is really not my strong suit), we'd love to hear from you.
We would also love to see a couple more events, training sessions or come and try days this year, and are working with the national body to construct a strong calendar across the country for next year.
If you are involved in a club, school or just have some enthusiastic friends, we would love your assistance to host some events - even if they are just one or two disciplines - so please get in touch and we'll help make it happen.
As you have seen at my events across this year, just 2 people can do the bulk of running a small event, and minor roles can be filled on the day from the awesome families supporting this sport. There are plenty of amazing, experienced people in the pentathlon community in NSW who are willing to help with any events, as well as lots of equipment available where it is going to be used to help grow the sport, it just takes one excessively optimistic and enthusiastic person to get things started - if you think you might be that person, please get in touch.
Thank you all for being a part of NSW Modern Pentathlon, hope to see you at the Murwillumbah Camp or future events.
Regards,
Amos Vagg
Vice President, NSW Modern Pentathlon
