Carnegie Cricket Club was founded in 1906 and has called Koornang Park home for over 100 years. With seven Senior Men's Turf Teams, Two Women's Teams, 10 Junior Boys and Girls Teams, Junior Blaster program and Master Blaster Program, the ‘Negie is in action from morning to night on both days of any given weekend and training every week night. You’ll enjoy a welcoming atmosphere, have access to pro
fessional coaching and an active social environment. Our home ground at Koornang Park is a delightful place to watch or play cricket and features superb facilities. We have a second turf ground at Lord Reserve, a stone’s throw away, and our junior teams play on both turf and synthetic wickets. Carnegie is affiliated with five associations: the Cricket Southern Bayside (CSB), the Mercantile Cricket Association (MCA), All Girls Cricket Competition (AGCC), the Southern East Cricket Association (SECA) and Inner South East Cricket (ISEC). Our senior 1st, 2nd and 3rd elevens play on Saturdays in the Championship Division, Division 2 and Division 4 of the CSB Competition repectively with our 4ths in MCA D grade. On Sundays we play in MCA A-Sunday grade, MCA B Sunday grade and also in MCA D Sunday grade, a 45-over a side one-day turf competition. For our juniors we offer teams in the ISEC at U/11, U/13 and U/15 levels with games on Friday nights or Sunday mornings and we also have a U/12 side in SECA. In 2015/16 we started fielding our first 13 & under girls team in the All Girls Cricket Competition (AGCC). Our youngest cricketers enjoy a Woolworths Blast program for 5-7 year olds, which is conducted on Saturdays and Sundays from 10am at our main oval. Parents can be assured that we provide a responsible and caring structure for children who wish to experience the great game of cricket.
