To All Club Members and Parents

At the AGM last week, it was extremely disappointing that only 1 person attended out of/on behalf the 117 registered players.

As a consequence, we find ourselves with a limited number of choices, the most serious of which is the disbanding of the club at the end of the season due to lack of committee members.

Unless we get nominations for President and Secretary at bare minimum we cannot continue as a club past this season.

This is extremely sad as we are a club of 13 teams, financially viable and plenty of interest from new player's next season.

In order to save the club, we have organised another meeting on Tuesday 5th April at 7:30pm at Rovira House to firm up committee positions

The following positions are vacant and can be shared. If you can’t attend the next meeting and would like to put your hand up for a position, just drop us an email.

To all our wonderful netballers who were looking forward to their first game back this weekend we are so sorry that it is not happening.

We cant wait to see you out on court.

It will be exciting to see netballers back on the courts this weekend. We are very grateful to the committee members who have worked behind the scenes to get the season up and running for our teams. We also thank those parents who have put their hand up to be team managers and we appreciate those that have committed to coaching.

As the season goes forward it is important to let you know that there will be a need for some changes in the committee. Many of our current committee members have been volunteering for the club for 7 to 10 years and no longer have children at St Patricks Primary School. It is time for them to step away from the committee and we thank them for their enormous contributions.

For the ongoing viability of the club, we are in urgent need of new parent volunteers for the committee. The time involved is minimal and a wonderful way to be involved in your child’s community. The committee generally meets monthly or six weekly and the busiest time is at the beginning of each season.

The AGM is scheduled for Wednesday 3rd March, whereby new members will be elected. Please come along to show support.

It will be held at 7.15pm -8.15 pm 9 Preston Road Hughesdale

Thank you to Dannae and Alicia who are continuing on in the very important roles of secretary and treasurer .

The following is a list of vacant positions:

President – Oversees policies and governance over any club issues

Secretary – Currently Filled: Alicia Scanlon

Registrations Officer – sets up registrations through MY netball and allocates team players to teams

Purchasing/Uniforms Officer – liases with uniform wholesaler and orders uniform and equipment

Treasurer- Currently Filled: Dannae Campbell

NET SET Go Co Ordinator – advertises and registers NETSETGO participants and facilitates the training for the term

Coaches Co Ordinator – co-ordinates comms between coaches and Team Managers when needed and offers support to the young coaches

Social CoOrdinator - Organises end of year presentation

All new committee members will be fully supported into their new roles by the outgoing members.

Once again, please be mindful that without these positions filled the club will not continue past this current season.

REGISTRATIONS CLOSE DECEMBER 15th

St Patrick’s Netball Club is now taking player registrations for the 2021 Autumn Season.

Players need to be in Grade 3 or over to be eligible to play.

Details: The teams will play at Duncan MacKinnon Reserve
Teams – Under 11 Friday nights
Teams – Under 13 & above Saturday mornings
(the draw will be released closer to season start)
Autumn Season commences: Friday 12th February 2021

Training: Training is held on a weekly basis and coaches will advise on location and day, after teams have been finalised.
Fees: Club Fees are $145 per season
(Plus annual VNA Insurance $58/year – Junior, $78/year Senior)

Uniforms: New uniform orders must be placed by 18th December 2020, refer to TeamApp for details and contact Paula Sanders: [email protected]
