Time to blow out the hand eye cobwebs. Get along to River Murray POP Tennis it’s so much fun!

From the 10th to the 24th of September we will be running a free raffle.

All you have to do is attend as many Pop Tennis sessions as you can to get tickets in the draw.

For every friend you bring along, you get extra tickets in the draw!

Only $5 for new members

Winners will be announced at both the 10-12 day session and the 6-8 evening session.

🎾 Get ready, Murray Bridge. Pop Tennis is Here!

The Rural City of Murray Bridge, in collaboration with Tennis SA, Murray Bridge Lawn Tennis and the Lower Murray Hardcourt Association, are excited to announce the successful acquisition of a Play Well Participation Grant from the Australian Sports Commission. This grant will be used to introduce and promote a Pop Tennis Competition in our community.

Played on a smaller court with a lower compression tennis ball, Pop Tennis allows for longer rallies and more enjoyment, making it a perfect complement to traditional tennis.

Pop Tennis offers a fun and engaging way for individuals of all ages to stay active, especially during the winter months when traditional tennis is less accessible, as it will be held within an indoor venue allowing play during all weather conditions.

The Pop Tennis competition in Murray Bridge is aiming to commence in late July (term 3), with more details available soon. For more details on the program please contact Craig Kempe on [email protected]

Well that’s season 2022/2023 done and dusted. It’s been another huge season for the Quickstep Tennis team with coach Hayley and Lily, joined by Johnny and Millicent coaching Lutheran Tennis Club, Jervois Tennis Club and running Saturday morning Hot Shots. What a sight to see so many numbers this season!!

A few personal notes:
- Congratulations to Coach Lily for going back to back premiers for the friday night competition.
- Coach Hayley was awarded life membership twice last weekend.
- Last but not least Coach Johnny and Coach Millicent for completing their first year as assistants.

For those of you who don’t know Coach Hayley will be stepping away from club coaching for next season, after 13 years she needs a little break!

Lily and Hayley will continue to provide a coaching service within the Murraylands so if you think you want to give tennis a go get in contact with us 🎾
