Unfortunately Covid-19 has once again interfered with WRT going racing. With the Darwin trip now cancelled, unfortunately we will need to wait a little longer before we hit the track.

Yay we’re going racing again!!

We take the current world events seriously but we wouldn’t be Aussies if we didn’t have a bit of lighthearted fun with it too...

SA Speedcars had, what they call their Blackjack round at the Murray Bridge Speedway over the weekend and they incorporated the Salute Toilet Paper Challenge; where the Top 3 winners score a carton of Salute branded toilet paper, making it the richest Speedcar race in Australia 🤩

Salute being a long term sponsor of the SA6 Hardwyer Motorsport Team, we were super proud that one of the POOdium winners was the one and only Paul Murphy! Congratulations Paul, you’re 48 rolls richer 😉

It was great to finish a very up and down season on a high last night at Murray Bridge Speedway with Todd taking the win in Round 3 of the SA Speedcar Black Jack Series. Unfortunately, as with a lot other sports and other activities and events, due to the current health risks, our speedway season has come to an early finish.
Thank you to Darryl Knuckey and DK Fabrications for the speedcar drive and also to Remy Mathers and everybody that have helped us in the pits during the season.
Thank you to SA Speedcars (especially Harry & Allison) for the great work they do in the planning and running of the club.
Thank you to all of the fans who have supported us online and at the track.
During these difficult times, it is especially important to support local businesses. Wigzell Racing Team would like to thank all of the following great SA businesses who have supported us over the years. We sincerely appreciate all you have done for us.

Looking like it with be the last meeting for the season.

Todd steered the car up to a well clear 4th position which would have got him in the A main before another mechanical failure with around four laps to go. With really good car speed in that race, it was a very disappointing end to the night.
