BROKEN BUT ALL IS NOT LOST //
Last night the Mackenzie Motorsport team competed in their first V6 sprint race meeting for the 2017/18 season.

Heat 1: John started in P6 and moved up a couple of spots in the first few laps thanks to some opportunistic driving and found him self in P4. The track was challenging to set up the car as turn one and two were dry and turn three and four were wet and slippery. Due to this tricky track for the drivers John came unstuck at turn four with only two laps remaining, finishing in P7.

Heat 2: In this race John started in P6 again but by turn one slipped back to P8. After chasing down the car in front for most of the race he made the pass to finish in P7.

Final: For the final we started in P5 and got a good start. After a couple of laps John was able to pick off the car in front for P4 and was showing consistent speed. About half way through the race the car lost all drive and coasted to a holt on the main straight resulting in a DNF. The diagnosis of the problem is that there was a drive line failure inside the differential housing.
