SPRINTCAR - CIRCUIT LAPPING

You guys have loved the pictures coming from our night yesterday at Sydney Motorsport Park, putting on a demonstration at the Legend Car Nationals thanks to Australian Autosport Alliance (AASA), so here’s some video from the telecast with thanks to Clay-Per-View!

This is not AI! 🤣

It’s a special thanks to the AASA event promotion and Marcos Ambrose for the invite - it’s fantastic to see collaboration between Dirt, and Road Racing, for the betterment of Motorsport as a whole!

As you can see, it’s unique seeing a dirt Sprintcar run on a pavement circuit with Left (mainly) and Right hand turns. We had the tallest gear ratio we would use on a dirt track installed, which ran out of puff on the main straight, which is to be expected in a single speed car, however the car was extremely fast in the corners, even for Ashton’s first time driving on a full size pavement circuit.

The smoke at the end of the clip is due to the oil breather setup not optimal for right hand turning loads which isn’t an issue on the dirt.

Sit back and enjoy the footage!

First feature win for Ashton Mineeff Racing down at Wagga speedway on Saturday night. Such a massive achievement for this small team running the lower horsepower LS motor against all the 410s in the field.
Very proud to be supporting such a great team and a very fast driver

Breakthrough round for AMR at Wagga Speedway with Sprintcar Association of NSW for the championship finale!

It was a momentous night of racing which saw Ashton’s first A main victory in his 4 year career.
Night breakdown:
Heat 1: P1 - P3 🥉
Heat 2: P6 - P3 🥉
Dash: P2 - P2 🥈
A-main: P2 - P1 🥇

The effort was highlighted by taking a 410ci feature win in a LS Engine complaint to 360/LS regulations- the first to do so in the country. The engine operates at approximately 550hp - up to 400hp down on our competitors. As it finished the night it had completed its 34th night since freshen, where we expect to get to 60 total nights before refresh. Despite heavy track conditions, the drivability of the engine allowed us to get away with having left and right rear tyres that had completed 2-3 feature races already the week before.

We are under no impression that Sprintcar racing is ever easy - it’s been a long time in the works to get a win - and we won’t know when the next one is - but considering the budget we operate on at the level we compete at - we’re very proud to take this one.

Personal thanks to Graham Lagerlow - team crew chief and morale builder - the relationship between crew chief / driver has been fantastic and pivotal to our success this year.

We had a good nudge at the championship - confirmed points will be locked in soon - but we believe overall points would put us P2, but once drop rounds are applied, will place us P3. Regardless - if you had told us we would be in the top 3 at championships end, we would have taken it every day!

Not the end to our season yet - Lachlan will be in the AMR/Purple Sector N28 this weekend at Avalon Speedway, then Ashton back in the N14 at Western Sydney Speedway for their season finale on May 16.

Thanks to everyone for the messages, calls and support. It means so much!

And as always, to our season sponsors for their valued support!
