Today Jubilee crowned its Ladies Fours Champions when Roma McGrath, Myrna Dwyer, Jenny Lewis and Kathy Taylor (s) took the honours over Lee Robertson, Jan Le Fevre (Sub), Joanne Reeves and Donna Ware (s).
The scorecard shows a tight game for the first half of the game, before Kathy's crew pulled away, only to have Donna's team pull back to finish only 4 adrift. Well played everyone - and some of you will recognise that there was a lot of bowling years on the green in the winners team!

Ladies A Singles final was played this afternoon - Congratulations to Donna Ware on earning title of Jubilee Singles Champion - played to an interesting musical accompaniment of country music from inside the Club and bagpipes & drums in the Anderson Park Gardens. Glenda tried to make sure the result was going to be interesting by picking up 4 shots, only to give them away a couple of ends later. A game worthy of a final - and thanks to the members who came to watch and thanks to Gwen for marking the game.

This afternoon Craig Ware played his way into the Men's Singles Final against Ben Cribbin which will be played on Friday afternoon (19th June)

Bowlers and friends are advised that the funeral for Grant Ketchup (Alligator Creek) will be at Townsville Funerals & Cremations (Railway Estate) Tuesday 23 June at 10.30am. If attending, please wear your bowls uniform. If unable to attend the service will be livestreamed.
Our thoughts are with the extended Cooper family. RIP Grant - your cheeky smile and awesome bowling will be missed.

Wednesday 10 June is "Thank a First Responder Day" - an initiative of Fortem Australia. Each month at Jubilee Bowls Club we offer our facilities to First responders and ADF members (past and current) along with their families so they can have some 'time out' with others with similar lived experiences, and try their hand at lawn bowls - because we know that Bowls Gr8 for Brains. This is our way to say thank you! There is no cost as we support the health and well being of those who serve us, or have served, in uniform. Usually scheduled for the first Friday of each month but in June we invite eligible people to come along on Friday 12 June at 10am.
