Chris Geiler 3 x F.A.I World Champion, Dad, husband and flying squirrel.🐿️ 🚀 Wingsuiting is a very unique element to the sport of skydiving.

After seeing videos of people flying wingsuits in television commercials I instantly knew I wanted to fly. I had started the learning process back in 1999 but couldn't afford to complete all the jumps in the Accelerated Freefall Course. It wasn't until much later, October 2010 whilst working on a Super Yacht in Italy that I could afford to skydive on a regular basis and from that point on, I have

based my life around being able to fly as much as possible. It gives the participants the ability to travel large distances and spend far greater amounts of time in the air compared to any other discipline. With increased horizontal speeds and large inhibiting suits, there also comes inherent elevated risks and for this reason jumpers must have a very sound level of experience before any attempt should be made. With a minimum of 200 skydives and the correct skill set it is possible to take a First Jump Course for wingsuiting, that's where the fun begins! As a BASE jumper, I waited a prudent amount of time, gaining the experience I thought necessary. I had over 1000 skydives before my first BASE Jump and nearly 200 wingsuit skydives before my first Base Jump in a wingsuit. As I continue in this field I hope to help progress the sport and be a safe and responsible influence to those who choose to follow on the same path.

A few years ago, I stepped away from competition to focus on the most important team, my family.

Since then, we’ve moved back to Australia, rebuilt our lives and started a new chapter. I honestly didn’t know if I’d ever compete again.

Now I’ve earned the opportunity to represent Australia at the 2026 World Championships.

This comeback means more to me than simply returning to competition. It’s a chance to wear the green and gold, bringing my skydiving career full circle and showing my kids that it’s possible to return to a dream after putting it on hold.

Preparing for a World Championship requires significant training, travel and accommodation costs. A fundraiser has been created to support the Australian Parachute Team as we prepare to take on the world.

Any donation, large or small, will help. Even sharing the campaign could put it in front of someone who is able to support us.

Please donate or share through the link in my bio.

Thank you for being part of the journey. 🇦🇺

After three years away from competition to focus on family, the comeback campaign is underway 🇦🇺

I’ve always worn basic sports tops under my wingsuit, but this year I’m paying closer attention to the small details that can help me perform, recover, and stay consistent.

First test with 2XU compression under the suit — and it’s already feeling like a step up.

We covered wingsuit flying, progression, safety, mindset, and some of the lessons I’ve learned along the way — both in the air and outside of it. Always cool to have real conversations with people who genuinely care about the sport and the community.

If you’re into wingsuiting, BASE, skydiving, or just human flight in general, give it a listen. Hope there’s something in there that helps, inspires, or at least makes you think a little differently. 👊🪂

Big thanks to the Flight Style Podcast for having me on.
