Such a treat seeing everyone at the Summer Sessions in Bruns, but now summer's done, we'll take a little savasana.⁠

I'm creating space for my full-time day job , my family and my well-being ❤︎⁠

🌞 As summer ambles to a close, so do our yoga summer sessions.⁠
⁠
We have a final 2 weeks, with the last class on Thursday 2 March.⁠
⁠
It has been such a pleasure to reconnect and be on the mat together and we intend to create more opportunities to practice with our seeker+kind crew soon. ⁠
⁠
But for now, we'll roll up our mats at the Brunswick Heads RSL hall.⁠
⁠
I look forward to seeing you in the coming fortnight or if not, perhaps at a future workshop, class, retreat or around the Shire.⁠

It's been sooooo lovely coming together with our seeker+kind friends again, and we hope to run another schedule of classes in the future.⁠

But for now, if you'd like to join us, we'll be on until the end of February. Then taking a break.⁠

Consistent practice develops our understanding that growth happens mostly beneath the surface. The seed is going through miracles deep in the earth and it's only once the sprout emerges that we can see the effects.⁠

And then patience again, and lots of nurturing, until that little sprout becomes mature enough to bear fruit. While it grows, from day to day it seems nothing is changing...but surely all the goodness from the earth, from the sun, from the clouds become a delicious orange. ⁠

We have rediscovered the joy of listening to vinyl in our home lately 💛⁠
⁠
There is something warm and real about the dusty static, crackle and occasional skip and repeat when the needle hits a scratch on a record.⁠
⁠
We appreciate that these records and the old player are mechanical and have history and life - this is what we love to hear and why it sounds sooo rich and satisfying.⁠
⁠
Our yoga practice matures over time too, and I find myself enjoying the dusty static and familiar tunes, the warmth of listening to the songs of my body in ways that have played so much they have their own distinct idiosyncrasies. ⁠
⁠
This is what makes it real, what makes me unique and it can be a joy to rediscover and enjoy when I get on the mat. ⁠
⁠
Sure, there are times I skip a few beats or get stuck on repeat but this is because I've lived, my body is not a streaming service and I have accumulated scratches and dust over the years. ⁠
⁠
It helps to have this little metaphor to remind me that a lifelong yoga practice can be like listening to a favourite album on vinyl 😊⁠

Juicy 🍊🧡😋 ~ one of my favourite words to describe how to explore a pose. ⁠

In Sanskrit, we might use the term 'rasa'. A word I love so much I originally wanted to call seeker+kind RasaYoga (but the name was already taken)⁠

Rasa = juice, best or finest part of anything, essence, elixir, flavour, delight...⁠
⁠

It's been a little minute. How have you been? ☺️

Our seeker+kind yoga studio in Mullumbimby permanently closed after the floods in March. It's kind of a long story but one for another time.

Since then, we've all been through so much and one thing that I have missed is coming together and processing (in our own ways) on the mat. Synthesising the threads of our lives into something more whole and cohesive. Weaving through our vinyasa, allowing space, daring to look inwards, and finding a little more of our Selves.

So I invite you to join me in a little summer foray ~ some fun, casual vinyasa classes - general level - in Brunswick Heads. We start this week!
