“Football has been my life for as long as I can remember. It’s shaped who I am, taught me resilience, and given me some incredible opportunities. But nothing compares to sharing that journey with Thomas P Frangos and Pierre.
Watching them both pull on their goalkeeper gloves and walk onto the pitch fills me with a pride that’s impossible to describe. Tommy is my son, and Pierre is my stepson, but to me, they’re simply my boys. Seeing them embrace the position that gave me so much is something I’ll never take for granted.
Goalkeeping is about so much more than making saves. It’s about courage, resilience, leadership and standing tall when everyone else is looking at you. They’re lessons that build not only better goalkeepers, but better people.
I don’t measure success by trophies or the level they one day play at. I measure it by the confidence they gain, the character they build and the memories we create together on the training ground.
One day they’ll outgrow these gloves and make their own way in life, but I hope they’ll always remember the time we spent together between the posts. Because for me, those moments are worth more than any medal I’ve ever won.”
