Before Glenmore was a golf club, it had many owners over the years. It has been owned by Henry Cox, the industrialist Thomas Sutcliffe Mort and Penrith’s first Mayor, James Riley. It became a golf club in 1927.

It’s one of the many local historic estates featured in our 2026 History Calendar.

The calendar features the homes of notable figures, such as NSW’s first Chief Justice Sir Francis Forbes, ‘Father of Federation’ Sir Henry Parkes and homes of the Woodriff and Cox families.

If you love our local historical buildings, you won’t want to miss out on purchasing the calendar! Calendars are $5 and go on sale the first week of December at all three Penrith City Libraries branches.
