Last Sunday our ladies took on Eglington FC in Mudgee. Staying cool, calm and collected for the full 90 minutes, putting on a strong display of football. S.North opened the scoring with an early first-half goal. The fight carried into the second half, with A.Johansson adding another to the tally before a late goal from Eglington. The final whistle sealed the win, with our ladies securing a 2-1 victory and 3 points.

Players player: L.Sebelic for her great attacking plays, creating opportunities and setting up our forwards for attack.

This weekend’s match was forfeited by Panorama FC, so our ladies will now turn their focus to Bathurst next weekend, where they’ll battle it out in the quarter finals.

Our 1st grade ladies travelled to Bathurst on Sunday with an 11-woman squad to take on top of the ladder, Abercrombie FC. It was a hard-fought battle with quality football from both sides. Our ladies held the scoreline at nil-all until the second half, where Abercrombie managed to secure two goals. Mudgee’s S.Darker fought back with a goal, but unfortunately the game ended in a 2-1 loss. Despite the result, our team showed incredible fight, determination, and spirit right until the final whistle.

Players player: M.Williams, for her outstanding goalkeeping performance, keeping us in the game until the very end!

Last Sunday, our ladies took to the field at home to face Lithgow Workies. From the first whistle, our Wolves worked hard as a team and fought their way to another well-earned victory.

The first half saw three goals hit the back of the net thanks to B.Nicholson, S.Darker, and L.Sebelic. In the second half, the fight continued with S.Darker securing two more goals, sealing a strong 5–1 win.

Last Sunday, our 1st grade ladies travelled to Bathurst to take on CSU FC. With no subs and players filling some unusual positions, our team dug deep and fought hard to bring home all 3 points.

The first half ended in a nil-all deadlock, but after a focused halftime chat, the ladies returned to the field with determination. In the second half, B.Nicholson opened the scoring, followed by a goal from L.Sebelic. The team held strong to the final whistle, securing a 2–0 victory.

Players player: R.McCann, who stepped up on the wing and delivered an outstanding performance – holding her own, making dangerous runs, and creating plenty of opportunities up the right side.

Today was a special one! Our senior ladies were lucky enough to be joined by the amazing MGWFC Under 10’s and Under 12’s girls teams for what we called, Our Little Ladies Day.
The girls joined us for the warm-up, walked out proudly onto the pitch beside us, and even took part in the coin toss. They brought so much energy and enthusiasm, getting stuck in from the start and staying involved all the way through!
It was such a joy to see so many young girls come together to share the field with us. Even better — they stuck around as our personal cheer squad, cheering us on to a well-earned 9-0 victory 👏🎉
Thank you for being part of our day — we hope we inspired you just as much as you inspired us! 💫 The future of MGWFC is looking bright 💪⚽️

Today our ladies took on Panorama FC at home, kicking off the day with a special warm-up and walk-on alongside our incredible MGWFC Under 10’s and 12’s girls. With our little legends watching on, our ladies were fired up and ready to put on a show — and they did just that!
The first half was all action, with 5 goals hitting the back of the net thanks to E.Vitnell, L.Sebelic, S.North, and B.Nicholson. The second half saw no slowing down, with another 4 goals added to the tally from E.Vitnell and L.Sebelic.
It was a game full of energy, teamwork, and sharp passing — turning opportunities into goals all over the pitch. A huge effort across the board. Well done, ladies!

Players player: E.Whan for her standout performance — driving the attack up the sideline and tracking back to defend with equal intensity. A true engine all game long!

Two Sundays ago, our ladies took on CSU at home in a fierce and determined performance. From the first whistle, our team showed true grit and passion. L.Sebelic kicked things off early in the first half with a goal to put us in the lead. CSU responded just before halftime with an equaliser, making it 1-1 heading into the break. After a strong team talk, the ladies came out firing in the second half. E.Vitnell found the back of the net, securing the lead and ultimately the win! Final score: 2-1 to our Mudgee ladies 🙌🔥

Our ladies travelled to Lithgow today with just 10 players, showing true heart and determination as they took on a full-strength Lithgow Workies side. Despite the challenge, they gave it their all for the full 90 minutes, fighting hard and putting in a gutsy performance.
Lithgow managed to find the back of the net in the first half and held onto that 1-0 lead until the final whistle. Our ladies kept pushing, creating chances and testing the keeper with several shots, but the goal just wouldn’t come.

Players player: T.Dunstan, who put in a standout performance in defence while still surging forward with powerful runs and even taking shots on goal. An incredible effort over the whole match!

Last Sunday, our ladies team faced Eglington FC for the second time in one weekend—and they rose to the challenge once again. After conceding an early goal, our girls dug deep and responded with two brilliant finishes from A.Johansson and L.Sebelic to take the lead before halftime.
The second half was a test of endurance and determination, with our team holding strong to secure a hard-fought 2-1 victory. It was an incredible effort from every single player, especially coming off the back of a tough game the night before.

Today our ladies 1st grade squad made the trip to Bathurst for a tough evening clash against Eglington FC, kicking off at 5pm. With fire, grit, and determination, our team delivered a fierce performance from the first whistle.
Debutant S.North opened the scoring with a stunning finish off a corner – her first goal in her first game! Eglington answered soon after, and the battle was on.
The second half kept fans on the edge of their seats. Eglington pushed ahead with another goal, but L.Sebelic wasn’t having it — dancing through defenders and slotting one past the keeper in a 1-on-1 to bring us level again.
Despite our relentless efforts, Eglington found the net once more to close out the game with a narrow 3-2 win. A thrilling match right to the final whistle!

Players player: M.Williams, whose reflex saves kept us in the game time and time again. It’s been amazing watching Mia’s growth this season — so well deserved!
