Today was a big step forward for Waverley. Ten of our kids competed in the Taketani Inter-Club competition — seven of them competing for the very first time. The results were fantastic, but even more impressive was the resilience and composure they all showed. They were humble in victory and gracious in defeat.

The Judo Moral Code has been central to our teaching this year, and it was wonderful to see every child embody those values while representing the club. We couldn’t be prouder of their effort — no matter the colour of the medal.

Waverley Judo are hosting an event for beginners aged 5-14 yo.

On Friday, the 25th of September (AFL Grand Final Public Holiday), weigh-in is from 10:15 am.

Modified, kid-friendly rules apply, focusing on fun and building confidence.
