Today Mt Warren Park Golf Club and RSL hosted the annual Melbourne Cup 4 Person Ambrose. Well done to Michael Rose for getting all the golfer’s together for a great day. This years charity was for Black Dog Institute which deals with Mental Health research. Also thanks to Dave and his team for their work in helping with the success of the day.

As well as the golf we had our annual Melbourne Cup luncheon which was well supported and saw the RSL full of people enjoying the day. Thanks to all the staff at the RSL and especially Justin and his team as it’s was a busy day serving up 200 plus meals.

Here are a few photos of the golf before the weather set in. Hope there were plenty of winners on and off the course.

Results for Saturday 21st October

In racing terms the track was hard and fast for yesterday’s stroke v par competition, coupled with a fine day there were some excellent scores returned from a field of 190 competitors. For those wondering how the greens are going they will receive another light dusting during the week and should be back to their best in another couple of weeks.
I would also like to let you know we have stopped watering the fairways in an attempt to preserve water for the greens and with the long term weather outlook it appears we are in for hard and fast fairways for some time to come.
