2nd fx world championship 1st fx national championship , great week! Thank you to crew and sponsors, time to park the boat up for a couple of months before it’s needed repairs.

Nearly didn’t make it down stream yesterday with the battery cable coming off on a pressure wave and the battery box deciding it wanted to meet up with crank pulley , luckily we found some seasoned ex fx racers at the pylons who kindly leant us some rope to tie it up and continue downstream.

Marathon done! Warm regards

Day 6 didn’t start how we wanted..
We started our attack to make up time, keeping it foot to the floor, we took the left channel upstream and was catching two boats in front of us when I cut a corner (driver fault) and hit a submerged rock and spun us up onto the bank which has pushed the intake up and put the unit out of line with the engine (which we did not see while pushing back into the water) upon start up there was a small vibration that while trying to get onto the plane has destroyed the driveshaft,

Heading back to base to try get it going for tomorrow.

Warm regards

Day 4, interesting day upstream we had some great lines up the middle until we beached the boat to help out fellow competitors and pluck them out of the river , thanks to race control for sorting out our time and to the patrol boats for getting us back in the water to boat up to the top.

No footage unfortunately , we are now onto GoPro number 3 - hopefully this one can last a leg of videoing.

Layday tomorrow back racing Friday on the Rakaia
