We’re back into netball and off to a fantastic start for the winter season! It’s been great to see the enthusiasm, effort, and teamwork already on display across all teams.

A special congratulations to our Players of the Week, who played outstanding games, gave their all on the court, and demonstrated excellent team spirit and sportsmanship. Their positive attitude and commitment were a pleasure to watch.

As a well-deserved reward, they’ll be enjoying some delicious milkshakes from Donato—what a great way to celebrate their efforts!

🐧 U9 Penguin Ettie absolutely dominated in defence – well done! 👏 Lots of happy faces and an amazing team effort!

U9 Seahorse Chloe played an outstanding game! Her quick footwork helped drive the ball down the court in tough, wet conditions, and she was absolutely on fire in the circle, sinking some huge goals and keeping the team right in the chase against strong competition. Chloe never stops running, never stops stops smiling, and is an absolute pleasure to watch. Amazing effort, Chloe!

🧜‍♀️ U9 Mermaid Elise's sharp shooting and running all over the court was amazing! Well Done, Elise!

U10 Snapper Ruby was unbreakable in defence – a very determined GK! 👏👏

U9 Dragonfish Ella got out of her comfort zone and played an amazing game in GS! She took on this position with confidence, shooting some amazing goals! Well done Ella! 🌟

🐧 U9 Beginner Penguins Gweny and Anna for their amazing shooting and awesome teamwork …Well done!

🧜‍♀️ U9 Beginner Mermaid Ella H played an unreal game in the rain – fast feet, quick moves and lots of intercepts! Well done Ella!

U9 Snapper Olive played a great game with a smile on her face even in miserable conditions.

U9 Seahorse Poppy is enjoying her first season of netball – she has come out firing! She’s integrated seamlessly into the team and gives her all every week, both at training and during games. Her speed and positioning are incredible, and her versatility really shone today as she played both GS and GK, working just as hard in the circle at either end. Amazing effort, Poppy!

U9 Beginner Seal is Saide who played an amazing game – never giving up in tough conditions. Did a few great intercepts and looked like she really enjoyed the game! Well done Saide!

U11 Manta Ray Mali has been practising with dad at home and put 1000% in at training last week. It really paid off as she did an awesome job in C!

U9 Dragonfish Lexie played amazingly in goals and centre, in some challenging conditions! Shooting 3 goals and linking up the play with some great passes! Well done Lexie! 🤩

🐧U9 Penguin Emmi shows up every game with a smile on her face, giving it her all and sticking to her player like glue! Amazing team effort today Penguins! Scoring the winning goal in the final moments of the game! 8-7! 👏

U11 Manta Ray Billie – what a first game and first impression. You listened to your team mates with instructions on the court and really worked hard on intercepts and creating space! Awesome work!!

U9 Seahorse Stevie played a huge game in both offence and defence, putting into practice everything we worked on at training this week! Not only did she drive hard to the ring, but she also created space beautifully, worked seamlessly with her fellow attackers and defenders, and did it all with a huge, proud smile! It was a tough game and we were down on numbers, but Stevie gave a stellar effort every minute of every quarter. Amazing job, Stevie 💙❤️

🧜‍♀️U9 Mermaid Chloe showed amazing movement and passing though out the court in each position she played aswell as her read of the ball to create intercepts she should be so proud!

U11 Sealion Dahlia worked incredibly hard supporting our team up and down the court as GD and C. A fabulous game, Dahlia!

🦭 U9 beginners Seal Gen played so well against a tough team and didn’t stop trying. She took instruction well, stuck to her player and made a few great intercepts. Gen put in a great effort for a hard game she should be very proud!

U9 Dragonfish Eden absolutely smashed it in defence this week against some tough goalers, getting a bunch of intercepts, rebounds and tips! Well done Eden! ⭐️

Our Players of the Week this week where the U9 Dragonfish and Otters and U9 Penguins and Seahorses played each other were:

🦭U9 Beginner Seal Bridget who shows up to games and training with great enthusiasm. She put training into match scenario, leading out for every centre pass and moved into space very well, always providing options for her team mates.

And her big sister made it a double shake weekend!

🐧U9 Beginner Penguin Kiera brought incredible energy, teamwork, and determination to the game — giving it her all from start to finish.

🦦U9 Otter Ava was playing her first ever game of netball and she was awesome!!!! Amazing pressure in defence, passing was outstanding with super quick hands as well as finding space to receive the ball…🤩👏👊

🧜‍♀️U9 Mermaid Milla put in strong performances through C and GD her defence throughout the court was unstoppable !

U11 Manta Ray Poppy showed great strength in mid court has greatly improved and she not only worked hard in defence all game she also was a key player in moving the ball down the court today. Great work Popstar!

U11 Sealion Lina for her smashing support through the centre third on the wings - from intercepts to accurate passes she had it all today! Well done Lina (photo inc. Georgie Clare from last week’s POW).

U9 Seahorse Edie is a quiet achiever who steps onto the court each week with a big smile and a fantastic attitude. She gives it her all, and her growth across the seasons has been amazing to watch. This week, Edie shone in defence, sticking to her player like glue and making second and third efforts to shut down goals and intercept passes. Her confidence is soaring, and we couldn’t be prouder of her determination and progress.

U9 Dragonfish Chloe smashed it in both attack and defence, playing GK for the first time ever where she got heaps of intercepts! Chloe was also a key player in our midcourt, linking up the play with great passing. Well done Chloe! 🌟
