Grand Promenade Dental Centre presents to you the 2025-26 Seniors Awards winners!

Congratulations to David Washbourne who took out the Club Champion award for his all round performance, scoring 339 runs at an average of 26.08, claiming 17wickets at an average of 26.00 and taking 5 catches! This is the first time in his career that Washy has won the Club Champion award!

Kieren Fewkes won the Best New Talent award. Kieran took an impressive 35 wickets at a miserly average of 10.49! He finished as the clubs second leading wicket taker overall this season. An impressive display in his first season at the club.

Jaden Litchfield took out the Rising Panther award, which is presented to the best under 23 player who has played juniors for the Panthers. Jaden grew and matured with ball in hand in a season where he took 15 wickets at 24.13. This also included his first 5fer in seniors. He also was part of the premiership winning I Grade side!

Nic Cirillo snatched the Most Improved award. Nic led the attack in our premiership winning I Grade. He spun his way to a career best 28 wickets at an impressive average of 13.86

The Club Fielding awards went to Waseem Suliman (wicket keeping) and Josh Kraan (non wk). Waseem backed up last seasonโ€™s success behind the stumps having an even more impressive season second in which he took 31 dismissals including 23 catches, 3 run outs and 5 stumpings. Josh took15 catches and 4 run outs โ€“ what makes this even more insane is that it was all done in half a season pre-Christmas!

Rounding out the award winners is David Washbourne who was voted Club Person of the Year. We thank Washy for his tireless dedication and always going above and beyond the call of duty. Whether it was marking the boundaries every week, running the bar or volunteering his time at club events, Washy always made himself available to help! Our club is stronger because of your passion and hard work. A well-deserved winner of this award!

With the cricket season having come to an end, it's now time to pack up the clubrooms for the winter and hand it over to the junior footy club.

We'll be having a working bee to pack up and clean the clubrooms, and are calling out for volunteers to come down to Hamer Park this ๐’๐š๐ญ๐ฎ๐ซ๐๐š๐ฒ ๐Ÿ๐Ÿ– ๐Œ๐š๐ซ๐œ๐ก ๐Ÿ๐ŸŽ๐Ÿ๐Ÿ” at ๐Ÿ๐Ÿ๐š๐ฆ to lend a hand.

We'll also be selling off the remaining canteen and bar stock at discounted prices.

This Saturday in the D Grade Semi Final at Hamer Park, Phil Veitch will take the field for his 300th game for the Mt Lawley-Inglewood Cricket Club.

Phil becomes just the second Panther in club history to reach this incredible milestone โ€” a true testament to his longevity, commitment, and loyalty to the club.

We could spend all day listing Philโ€™s achievements both on and off the field, but we thought it would be better to hear from the people who know him best - a true man of the people. Make sure to check out the video accompanying this post!

We had a couple of significant runs milestones reached in the second half of the season (Admin apologises for being a bit slow with these - new contracts were being negotiated).

๐Ÿ“๐ŸŽ๐ŸŽ๐ŸŽ ๐‘๐ฎ๐ง๐ฌ - ๐ƒ๐š๐ฏ๐ข๐ ๐–๐š๐ฌ๐ก๐›๐จ๐ฎ๐ซ๐ง๐ž

In A Grade's Round 15 match, David Washbourne passed the 5000 runs mark for the Panthers.

Washy is only the 4th Panther to achieve this incredible milestone and currently only needs a 100 or so runs to move up to 3rd in the clubs all time run scorers!

Making his return to our First XI this season, Washy has had a stellar season, amassing 339 runs at an average of 26.08. Since stepping in to captain our A Grade side in the second half of the year while Josh has been on paternity leave, Washy has built on his early season form and put together a string of important innings including finishing the season with three scores in the 40's.

Over the years, Washy has had various roles in the batting line up from opening, to batting in the top 6 and even being the spin bowler all-rounder batting at 8. One thing that has never changed over the years is Washy's consistency. No matter where in the order he bats, you can always count on him to score valuable runs for the team.

In 296 games for the club, Washy has scored 5121 runs including a century and 20 half centuries with a top score of 129 not out!

๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ“๐ŸŽ๐ŸŽ ๐‘๐ฎ๐ง๐ฌ - ๐ƒ๐ฎ๐ง๐œ๐š๐ง ๐‡๐ž๐ง๐๐ž๐ซ๐ฌ๐จ๐ง

In D Grade's Round 12 game, Duncan Henderson reached the 3500 run mark for the Panthers.

Dunc has played 191 games for the club, during which he has scored 3596 runs at an average of 20.67 a lot of which has come at the top of the order. This includes a century and 13 half centuries with a top score of 105!

We hope that Dunc can add to the runs tally in D Grade semi final this weekend!

Get on down to the Rosemount Hotel on Saturday 11th April 2026 as we celebrate the season that was!

Presentation Night is always a fantastic event for the club, so be sure not to miss it! We are asking everyone to be there at 4:30pm, with a 5pm kick off in the Four5Nine Bar!

We'll then move outside to the outdoor garden area, where food and drinks will be provided by the club for all Panthers and their partners. Please note that we'll cater halal and vegetarian options.

Please also note that this will be a Life Member event, so if you're fortunate enough to have the badge, be sure to wear it! (otherwise we suggest bringing your wallet!!)

We look forward to seeing the Panther army fill up the Rosie for what promises to be a good night!
