The Buffaloes ARFC 2020 Annual General Meeting will be held Sunday 16th February at 2:30pm in the Lodge Room, upstairs at the Buffs Club, refreshments will be provided, get down and support your club!

The Buffaloes have commenced pre-season training for 2020, come down to Captain Cook oval Tuesday and Thursday from 6:00 for a 6:15 start and get your hands on the footy. All welcome!

Disappointing end to what was a really good year for the Buffs. Thank you to all the supporters that come down week in week out.

Tonight we farewell a club legend in Paul White, a life member serving 36 years with the Buffaloes. Good luck with your future endeavors Wh**ey, we’ll all catch up with you for a beer sometime.

Congratulations to James Baxter, an up and coming junior who is a regular at Buffs training sessions, for taking out the Junior Umpire of the year. James has played a huge role in keeping the game of AFL alive in Mount Isa for 2019 and is improving the standard of the game week on week.

Great work James, should be very proud Shane Baxter, Rachael Cox!

Finals Week 1, 2019
Buffs 12.13.85 defeated Lake Nash 8.5.53

The first round of finals saw The Buffaloes put on a solid performance against second placed Lake Nash to come away with a 32 point win. The Buffs have booked their place in the Mount Isa AFL ground final Saturday 14th September.

In the other finals game Tigers beat Rhinos and will play Lake Nash next week to determine the other grand finalist. Thanks to Alex Bateman and Josh Schofield for umpiring.

Round 12, 2019
Buffaloes 7.11.53 defeated by Lake Nash Young Guns 10.10.70

Quamby took its toll this week as an undermanned Buffs side took on the Young Guns. A courageous second half saw the Buffs come within 4 points after trailing 47-12 at half time.

Thanks to retirees Charles Johnstone, Ben Bravos and Shane McCarthy for pulling the boots on again and Josh Schofield for umpiring the first game.

Buffs 6.13.49 defeated Tigers 5.11.41

The Club’s 2019 Sponsors Day saw the Buffs play their toughest game of the season so far however the team held strong in a low scoring affair to maintain their unbeaten run.

It was great to see the sponsors and life members sharing a beer and a BBQ under our new marquees, thanks to Club President Evan Magnus for being the driving force behind this year’s event.
