If you are expecting more than you are willing to give - it’s safe to lower those expectations.
Lowering your expectation is going to do so much more for you than getting down on yourself every time to don meet said expectations.

It’s also important that you know when you could give a little more and yourself short. You deserve to give yourself more.

The tell tale of a good workout is that ->

✔️ it’s working toward your goals
✔️ your strength has increased
✔️ you’ve increased intensity
✔️ an improvement in skills

Basing the effectiveness of your workout on DOM’s isn’t the most optimal way, so don’t get caught up in it. Look at the bigger picture.

We are too individual to be told what our bodies need through different times in our cycle.

- There is no evidence to show that strength decreases or increases over a cycle.
This isn’t to say that you may not feel like lifting as much through a certain phase or you need more rest in another.

- Some people will have higher energy output while they bleed. Eat according to you.
