On Sunday Millicent won the Men”s Golf SE pennant shield defeating Naracoorte Golf Club in a tight clash 4 matches to 3.
The final decision came down to a very exciting play off hole.

We’ve all heard the adage that a week is a long time in golf.

Spare a thought for our Kate. Just a week after reaching the exalted heights of winning the Golf Australia Bronze Shield she was brimming with confidence. How easy is golf.

The red hot golf was a breeze after opening with a par on the first she walked off twirling her putter and waving to her supporters.

A double bogey on the 2nd had to be put down to just a hiccup and bad luck. Surely a par or better on the 3rd will right the ship.

A missed approach found her in the bunker but that won’t be a problem will it? OK a fluffed shot is acceptable. And maybe another is ok yeah? And another….and another… you get the idea and we’ve all been there.

But to her absolute credit, after a 14 on that hole, she still finished with a not too shabby 76.

And the reason why she is a delight to have as a member she was happy to tell us about it.
