Was so awesome to have Scott Stokely Adventures venture to our special place in the world and play a round with some locals on the Pro Layout prior to running a clinic. Super humbling and exciting to have him praise the course so highly and promote it as a world class disc golfing venue. REGISTRATIONS FOR THE ERUPTION 2022 TO OPEN THIS FRIDAY 15TH JULY AT 8:30pm AEST

Mount Gambier Disc Golf are exploding with excitement to present the Eruption 2022 as the South Australian and Final Major tournament on the ADG 2022 Tour this October 28-30th. Even more exciting is the recent news that the renowned Crater Lakes Disc Golf Park 18 hole Pro Layout has reopened and will be utilised for the tournament. This tournament will consist of 3 rounds over 3 days utilising tee times.

Registrations for this event will be via Jump Putt
Registrations will be limited to the first 144 players, with a waitlist to be generated after this time.
Registration costs: Pros $150, Amateurs $120, Juniors $75

After 5 long months the fence is down and we finally have access to our beloved course! 🎉🥳
Some members have already hit the course for a round.

We would like to thank the City of Mount Gambier, MGDG members and the local disc golfing community for their support over what has been quite challenging times for our club.

Hope to see you all out on the course soon. And just a reminder to please respect any boundaries or fences installed by council.

Incredible!!! This photo shows just how close the recent fire came to the disc golf course with emergency services stopping it on merely the other side of the road from holes 5, 6 & 7 of the Amateur/Advanced Layouts ❤️❤️❤️.

During the early hours of January 25th 2022, a fire discovered burning near the Centenary Tower upon the peak of Mount Gambier, quickly grew out of control through the mountain’s dense vegetation spreading towards and threatening not just the iconic Tower but also, several residences, Marist Park, Tenison Woods College, Carinya Gardens Cemetery, Valley Lake Area & Conservation Park, Blue Lake Golf Club and Crater Lakes Disc Golf Park.
Nearly 48 hours later and thanks to the heroic efforts of emergency cervices & countless volunteers with a little help from some much appreciated rain, the fire has been brought under control and all of the above seem to have been spared from any significant damage. However, risk still remains as sections of the inaccessible crater walls continue to smoulder and falling trees from fire damage will remain a concern for sometime. The City of Mt Gambier council has announced the whole precinct is to remain closed to the public until which time the area is deemed to be safe. Updates will be made in due course.
